(12) Surprise!

1 month later 

"Sugar and Spice Bakery this is Ansleigh speaking how may I help you?" 

"Hi..I need to place an order for pick up." Winnie said 

"Okay..what can I do for you?" She said 

"I need a three tier Dallas Cowboys birthday cake. My son is turning 35 and we are throwing him a surprise party. I also need some Dallas Cowboy themed cookies as well." Winnie said 

"Okay. And the name?" She said 

"Winnie Barnes. Can I pick it up in two days?" Winnie said  

"Yes ma'am." She said as she smiled she knew exactly who this was.

"Okay great. Thank you so much." Winnie said 

"Welcome. You have a great day." She said as she hung up. 

Two days later Winnie came in to pick it all up. 

"Thank you so much Ms Matthews." Winnie said 

"You're welcome." She said as she took the check Winnie gave her. 

That afternoon she had Lucas with her as they picked up Bucky. 

"Baby you don't even know how to get there. It's just a dinner I don't know why you are making such a big deal." Bucky said 

"Just tell me how to get to the road then put this on." She said as threw a blindfold at him. 

"Fine." He said 

They finally arrived at the road Lucas tied the blindfold on Bucky. When they pulled in she saw all kinds of cars. 

"Wow..you have a lot of family." She whispered. 

They helped him up to the door and led him inside. He untied the blind fold when he heard surprise. Winnie saw Ansleigh. 

"Oh my God..I was wondering how he knew to wear a blind fold." She said 

"You've already met my girlfriend?" Bucky said 

"She used my bakery for this. When she said Barnes and Cowboys I knew who she was. It's good to see you again Mrs Barnes. This is my son Lucas." She said 

"You both can call me Winnie. And it's a pleasure to meet you Lucas and to officially meet you Annie." Winnie said 

Ansleigh smiled. 

Bucky introduced her to everyone else. Isabella and Shawn was the first person he introduced her to. James watched him all night he pulled him aside before they left. 

"It's good to see you this happy again." James said 

He smiled at his dad. "Thanks dad. I am happy I feel whole again with her and him." He said 

"I was worried so was your mama that you had given up. That losing the three of them had turned you cold on love. But clearly she has melted the coldness." James said 

Bucky smirked as he thought about Ansleigh's grandmother. 

"Maybe it just takes the right person dad." He said as he hugged him and walked off. 

"You make good birthday cakes baby." Bucky said after they went to his house after they dropped off Lucas at Melody's. 

She looked up at him and fixed the sheet. She kissed him "Happy 35th birthday you old man." She said 

"Old man I'll show you old man." He whispered as he climbed back on top of her as she laughed.
