(16) The Return of Roger

2 months later 

Bucky and Ansleigh were making breakfast when she heard a car pull into the drive. 

"Hey Luke, can you see who is here?" She said 

"Yeah sure." He said as he paused his video game. 

He peaked out the front window. "Hey mom who do we know that owns a Porsche." He said 

"What?" Ansleigh said as she came into the living room.

"There is a slick black Porsche in our driveway." Luke said 

She looked out the window as the gentlemen stepped out of the driver side as he talked on his cellphone. He hung up and buttoned his suit jacket. 

"No.." she whispered 

"Darlin who is it?" Bucky said as he walked into the living room. 

She went to open the door before he could even knock. 

"What the hell are you doing here?" She said 

"Nice to see you too Annie." He said 

"Mom who is this?" Lucas said 

"I'm Roger Hamilton. And you must be my son.." Roger said 

"Ah my sperm donor. I'm going back to my game." Lucas said 

"Again what the hell are you doing here? How did you even find me?" She said as she crossed her arms. 

Bucky's blood was boiling on the inside as he leaned against the wall. 

"I need to talk to you privately Annie. Do you think that we can be adults and talk about something that concerns him." Roger said 

Lucas threw his controller on the coffee table. 

"If you are here to try and develop a relationship with me. You are about 16 years to late you didn't want me or mom. So why don't you taking your fancy ass back to whatever hole you crawled out of and leave us alone. You are nothing but a sperm donor to me." Lucas said as he walked over to them. 

"Luke..calm down. Let your mom handle this." Bucky said as he walked over to him. 

"And who are you?" Roger said 

"Mom's boyfriend.." Luke said 

"You know what Annie I know it was a shock to see me. Can we meet tomorrow over coffee and talk privately without Lucas and your boyfriend. I didn't bring my wife with me I'm here alone." He said 

"Go to hell Roger. No we will not meet for coffee and no I don't want to talk to you." She said and slammed the door in his face. 

That night was a JV football game Ansleigh was sitting with Melody and Elliot while Bucky coached the game. They didn't notice that Roger had shown up he disguised himself so Ansleigh wouldn't cause a scene. 

When the game was over she was talking to Bucky. She looked for Lucas in the crowd she spotted Camilla then Lucas.

"Bucky?" She said when she saw who was talking to them. 

"I've got it." He said as he walked off. 

"Seriously dude you don't know how to take a hint do you?" Bucky said 

"I just want to talk to my son." Roger said 

"He and Annie both have made it clear they don't want you in your lives. So go back to Texas and leave them alone." Bucky said 

"Coach Barnes, is there a problem?" An officer said 

Bucky looked at Roger and cocked an eye brow. "No officer there isn't." Roger said as he cut a look to Ansleigh. 

The next morning she left Bucky's place to open the bakery. When she got there she saw his Porsche waiting in the parking lot. 

"You don't know when to quit do you?" She said 

"Annie, please can we just talk." He said 

"No I don't want to talk to you. Please leave before I call the cops." She said as she went inside and locked the door. 

As she went into the back to get everything started after she texted Bucky. She heard a gun shot and glass shatter. She walked out into the dining area to see Roger put his hand gun back into his holster.

"Roger!" She said 

"Annie! I'm sick of this shit! I need to talk to you! I want to be a part of his life I know I fucked up but we were young Annie. But I need to make this right now." Roger snapped 

She texted Bucky to let him know what just happened.

"Why now? Huh?" She said 

"Why does it matter?" He said 

"Because I know you Roger you are a user. You use people!" She said as she heard sirens. 

As he started to get closer to her she backed up. "He's my son and I can't take over the family business unless I have a boy. Which I do he came from your ass. You are still beautiful as ever Annie.." he said as he cornered her. 

He went to touch her face. "Don't you dare touch her." Bucky said as he came in behind them. 

When Roger turned on he saw two officers standing with Bucky. Roger was arrested as Bucky hugged Ansleigh to calm her down. The next morning it made the news that the heir to Hamilton Oil was arrested on attempted assault harassment and stalking charges as well as destruction of property charges.

Roger's parents and grandparents flew in as well as his wife. When they found out why he was in Chapel Hill. They found Ansleigh cleaning up the bakery. 

"I'm sorry we are.." she said but looked up when she saw fancy heels and men's dress shoes. 

"The Hamiltons.." she said in a low tone. 

"Annie honey we are sorry. He never mentioned a baby with you." Mrs Hamilton said 

"I figured as much." She said as she dumped the glass in her dust pan into a trash can. 

"Annie he won't be bothering you anymore. We will take care of it and we are sorry how he handled the situation." Mr Hamilton said 

"Thank you." She said in low tone. 

The others left except for his mother she walked over to Ansleigh. She held her face "You could of came to me sweetheart. We could of worked something out.." she said 

"Mom was scared to try. She was afraid it would backfire..but it's okay I've been just fine here. He's a good kid and he doesn't want a relationship with Roger." Ansleigh said 

"I understand. Take care of yourself Annie." She said and She left. 

That night as the rain fell over Ansleigh and Bucky was laying in his bed after they had sex. 

"Annie move in with me..you and Lucas both. I love you baby..and I love him. I want you both here safe with me." He said

She looked up at him. "Are you sure?" She said 

"I'm sure baby." He said 

She smiled at him and kissed him. 

A week later Bucky enlisted the guys to help him move Ansleigh and Lucas to his place.
