Three months later
"Hey you look beautiful.." Bucky said as she answered the door.
He sat his gifts down and kissed her as he took off his winter coat and gloves.
"Gross.." Lucas said as he came down the stairs.
"Luke..Merry Christmas." Bucky said
"Merry Christmas.." Lucas said
As they walked to the living room he carried his two boxes and put them under the tree.
"How was your trip home?" He said as he joined her in the kitchen.
She sipped her glass of Chardonnay. "Good..nothing like going home to feel like a failure. My sister is pregnant with her fourth child. My brother and his wife are also expecting a third. And my grandmother on my mom's side.." she said
"Thinks that mom has turned into cold bitch because of my sperm donor." Lucas said as he came in.
"But Anyways..how was your family?" She said
"Good..not as eventful as yours apparently but good." He said
"Let's eat mom I'm starving." Lucas said
They all sat down at the table and ate the small Christmas dinner that Ansleigh made. After dinner they all sat down and opened gifts.
"This gift is for you Buck. But it's for all three of us." She said
"Okay" he said as he sat down his beer.
He untied the red ribbon around the gold box. He pulled the lid off the top. As he pulled back the tissue paper he saw three tickets.
"Darlin.." he whispered
"What is it?" Lucas said
"Three tickets to go see the Cowboys play against the Panthers." She said
"Thank you darlin.." Bucky said as he kissed her.
"Again gross.." Lucas said
"Here's your gift baby." Bucky said as he gave her a red box with black ribbon.
She opened up her box. "You are taking me on a mini vacation to Gatlinburg for Valentine's Day.." she said
"Yup.." Bucky said
Lucas let out a laugh. "Mom has never taken a vacation in her life.." Lucas said
She threw the lid at him."shush." She said as she went to kiss Bucky.
"Thank you." She said
Bucky gave Lucas two boxes to open. He opened up the first one to reveal a Tar Heel football helmet with L.T.'s signature on it. A Tar Heel Jersey with Javonte Williams' signature on it and Tar Heel football with Julius Peppers' signature.
"Coach..thank you. Oh my god mom look.." he said
"I see it baby.." she said
"It pays to know the team.." Bucky whispered
An hour later Lucas left to see Camilla which meant they could be alone. They used their alone time to make out by the fire place.
