"How could you be so careless Wei Ying!", Wen Qing was not happy about how Wen Xu found out about the baby. Wei Ying only lowered his eyes and carried the burden.

"Take it, easy sister, it's not his fault. You know how persistent Wen Xu can be.", Wen Ning wrapped an arm around Wei Ying to console him.

" You don't get it, Wen Ning. That doctor must have told him how far Wei Ying is. Cousin probably knows by now that the child is not his!", Wei Ying flinched when the female raised his voice.

"Elder Sister!...", Wen Ning growled in Wei Ying's defence. " If cousin knew about it, he wouldn't be this happy either... The news is already out, now is not the time to torture our Master Wei so stop it!"

Wen Qing went mute, observing the omega's reaction. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and their hearts lurched.
Luckily it was not Wen Xu, but a servant who had come to fetch Wei Ying. The omega would be joining the family for dinner.

After taking some time to calm down, Wen Qing helped her friend get ready and accompanied him downstairs.

Wen Xu adorned his wife with kisses the moment he came down. Wei Ying averted his gaze but held on after another hug.

"Are you alright, you seem a bit pale.", Wen Xu kept stroking his cheek.

"I don't want to see your family Wen Xu.", Wei Ying muttered.

"I know... but let's endure it just for this night, together.", the alpha smiled.

The omega looked behind a few times as Wen Xu lead him out.

Wei Ying did not eat a morsel at the dining table no matter what Wen Xu did. He refused to dine with those that murdered his parents and destroyed his home on a wild goose chase. Wen Xu could not eat either, worried to the core about his mate. He wished to wrap up on his plans and take Wei Ying back as soon as possible.
Wen Ruohan was amused by their suppressed will but said nothing until dinner was over.

Wei Ying was not happy when he was forced to enter Wen Ruohan's special study. Wen Chao was there purposely to rile him up. Wei Ying clenched his fist, shut his mouth and lowered his eyes defiantly - not uttering a single word even when he was spoken to.

WC, " Father, it seems your son in law does not want to talk to you. Maybe a lovely gift would cheer him up."

WX, "Now is not the time Wen Chao."

"Don't fight...", their father warned. " Wen Ying, the last time you were here, a certain Yin metal had little to no effect on you. Now you know how to make your own Yin metal...remarkable."

WY, "..."

WR, "I think we should continue with our adventures...say...open portals to different dimensions and venture into the immortal realms. Who knows, you might get lucky and meet your mother in the process."

Wei Ying raised his head after that statement, his brows furrowed in a frown. Wen Xu saw where his father was going with this and interrupted his plan with his own. "Father, my wife is not fit for the trials yet."

"What now brother? What could make him unfit to die?", Wen Chao snickered until he saw his father's glares.

Wen Xu took a moment to stop himself from strangling his brother before breaking the news to them. "Im sure father would consider putting his plans on hold when he learns that my wife is expecting."
