The morning began on a sour and mind-boggling note. Questions of how, why, when, trademarked all the calculations Jiang Cheng did as he sat on the toilet holding a pregnancy kit. Thinking about the times he had intercourse with Xichen and where it could have happened.

Being pregnant just like that for over two months and not knowing sounded like a cock and bull story. If he missed it, his husband would have known. Lan Xichen is like the hormone monster who knew Wanyin's body more than he did...And they were making plans.

It's not that he was not happy about being pregnant- says the doctor who discharged him a day ago, and the twenty-three pregnancy test kits scattered on the bathroom floor. Jiang Cheng just couldn't comprehend being pregnant at a time like this, when he thought he was baren, and his family had fallen apart. He taps his feet on the cold tiled floor, nibbling on his bottom lip like a squirrel as the second line slowly pops out on the last urine test. Positive...again.

"Jiang Cheng, are you okay?... You've been in there for more than an hour.", Huaisang knocked on the bathroom door the third time. "I'm coming in...", He said when no response echoed back.

His head went in first to spy. "A'Cheng.", Huaisang took the rest of his body after verifying that the lotus had only spaced out. 

The shaker speaks nothing of the litter on the floor. Was there anything more to say? He would be an Uncle in a couple of months!

Huaisang wanted to make silly jokes and scream for joy but the glum expression on his friends' face nipped that idea in the bud. "A'Cheng, I wish there was something I could do or say to make you happy about this.", He sighed.

Jiang Cheng came down to earth when his friend's voice invades his space. His eyes stayed on the kit in his hand. "I'm glad Huaisang... But I'm also upset about this.", the lotus confessed.

"..."

"How can I take revenge on those bastards, run a Sect, and care for my husband if I have this baby to worry about... What will I do about my brother?",  The Lotus' silvery eyes shut for a brief period as he takes a breath. "I'm a sitting duck Huaisang...I can't do this on my own."

"If there's anyone who can cram all of that into a ball and eat it up, it's you, Jiang Cheng. You're the fiercest person I've ever met...", Huaisang ebbed closer, crouching before his friend with a serious look on his face. "And what's this about being alone? You have Yanli, your in-laws, me and my brother, Minjue. You have the entire YunmengJiang, Qinghenie and Gusu Lan at your disposal, Jiang Cheng...And there's also LanlingJin if you factor your would-be in-laws into this.", he nodded affirmatively. 

"...", Jiang Cheng looked up at the other. He did not doubt it at all, but was it okay to let another person other than Xichen take care of him?

"Now that we know we're heavily pregnant, why not freshen up and get you stuffed...Yanli is dying to tuck you in bed afterwards.", Huaisang placed a hand on Cheng. "Look on the bright side Jiang Cheng, this baby carries a lot of hope...for everyone. It will help you and Yanli recover.", a small smile grew on Huaisang's lips. 

Jiang Cheng's gaze did not leave that beautiful round face. A smirk completed the sigh beneath his breath. "Thank you...Um, Huaisang, you realize these tests are done with urine. I wouldn't hold my hand like that if I were you."

"What! Ewww! Yuck! ", Huaisang jumps up dramatically. "...Already playing pranks, are we? For the love of Nie Jiang Cheng, warn me sooner next time.", He stuck his hand under the tap to wash his hand. Jiang Cheng managed a light chuckle there, grateful for this silly omega on his team.

Wei Ying crawled out of bed in the middle of the night, unable to hold the puke climbing up his throat. Wen Xu was awoken by the heavy breathing, and the flick of a switch. "Sweetie...", He sat up.
Sleep cleared from his eyes when he saw the bathroom door half open. Concerned, he goes after the omega in a flash.
