By the eight-month of raising his little girl, Wei Ying changed the face of the land he had come to preside over. The buildings and properties that fell under Wen Xu's regime had been rebuilt in a different image. And Wei Ying was no longer mother Wen but Clan Leader Wei. Wen Ning refused to carry the clan name, hence the change. Everyone needed to move on from the scary tales.

Lan Wangji fought for shared custody of both children. Wei Ying did fight back to stop him but in the end, he lost. For the fact that an omega running a sect would breed another form of competition and possibly war, Jiang Cheng encouraged his brother to get back with Lan Wangji but the two were adamant.

"Wen Ning is capable of defending the clan so there is no need for this.", Wei Ying often argued. It's not that he did not want to be with Wangji, too much happened to just smoothen things over. Not to talk of the fact that Lan Wangji had changed drastically, entertaining anyone that came his way.

"The only thing that I care about is my children, and I dont need to be married to take care of them.", was Lan Wangji's reply. He would rather disturb Wei Ying's peace than give him a chance.

Daily, Wei Ying declined suitors, stating that he already had a mate. Unfortunately, Wen Ning often had to play the role to the public. Nothing good came out of being around the jade since all they did was fight and disagree.

Wei Ying had a nightmare one night. He yelled out Wangji's name when he woke up, feeling accountable for the horrible things he said to the jade in an argument during the day. The omega went out of his room to check on the baby then went downstairs for some milk. He still couldn't sleep after that so he picked up his phone and called Huaisang.

"Yup, why are you calling me at this ungodly hour?", Huaisang always had time for his crew.

"I said something terrible to Wangji today."

"Hold on, let's have a conference call, your siblings need to hear this.", Huaisang put him on hold to call the Jiangs.

Jiang Yanli was snuggled up against Wen Qing's clothes when the call came and Jiang Cheng was hugging his husband.

JC, "Make this quick."

HS, "Our wild one here got into another fight with Wangji."

JC, "Oh yeah, Huan told me about it...Im with Wangji on this. Wait, where is Wen Ning?"

HS, "I've not called him."

"Hold on I'll do it.", Jiang Cheng said. What the other members did not know was that Jiang Cheng also put someone else on the line to listen in on their conversation. "Yes, Wen Ning is here. Confess your sins."

"I...I told Wangji Wen Xu was a better father.", Wei Ying shrivelled behind the line. His friends disagreed with him right away.

HS, "That's a dick move. Why, what did he do?"

Wei Ying moped on the line. "I didnt mean to okay! I just...I had him followed when he took Mingji to the park. Lan Wangji entertained a woman and let her hold our daughter and that made me angry."

"Are you sure you got angry because of Mingji? Because let's not forget that Wangji would not carelessly hand his daughter over to a dangerous person.", Jiang Yanli came in.

Wei Ying stalled on the line, ruffling his hair desperately. "*sigh* No..."

"I knew it!", Huaisang was so loud it woke Zhen.

WY, "It's just that she was young and pretty and..."

HS, "Wow, youre a selfish demon, Wei Ying."
