Chapter 10) A Pleasant Surprise

Fate POV

A human, vampire, and goddess barge into my room. A group of girls crashing through my door, a sight that actually feels quite familiar. Aether has had many harems before. It's kind of painful remembering them all.

Aether may have been a not so good man, but each and every lover he had truly loved him, and he loved them back with all his heart.

Even with his vampire status, they all loved once and true. But time is a cruel mistress. Aether's lovers weren't as time proof as him.

But no time for heartache, the girls in front of me are here now, and they want answers. First I sigh.

Fate: "Ambrosia, Risu, you two know what this means, I'm not sure why you're both so surprised." I say spreading my right open showing off the thread, "But I suppose Irene here deserves an explanation." I look to her.

Irene: "You're damn right you owe me an explanation, starting with this floating girl!" She shouts pointing to Risu.

Risu: "Hello, my name is Amaririsu. But please, call me Risu." She introduces herself elegantly while floating with a bow.

Irene is slightly taken back by the polite gesture from the floating girl and freezes for a moment.

Irene: "Why is this little girl floating?" She asks confused now.

Fate: "Because she can." I say simply with a shrug.

Ambrosia giggles, Irene sighs irritably, and Risu nods in confirmation.

Irene: "Wait, is this who you were talking to back at the village?" She asks Ambrosia.

Ambrosia: "Uh, yeah. You couldn't see her at the time." She says with a nervous chuckle.

Irene: "Couldn't see her? Alright fine, whatever." She says rolling her eyes, "Nice to meet you Risu." She says holding her hand out for a handshake.

Risu: "Nice to meet you too, in person this time." She says floating towards Irene and shakes her hand.

Irene: "In person?" She asks mid handshake.

Fate: "Why couldn't our first meeting be like this?" I whine jokingly.

Irene: "Oh I wonder." She says sarcastically to me with a glare.

Ambrosia: "Yeah! What did you do to her when you first met, Fate?" She says with malice in her eyes. It looks like she knows what I did, how though?

Risu: "Hmm, yes, care to explain?" She says with a neutral expression.

Fate: "Didn't I say you could ask Irene that question?" I deflect.

Ambrosia: "I did! But she kept avoiding it." She frowns.

I turn to Irene and she was still glaring at me.

Irene: "What? Did you actually expect me to tell her?" She asks pointedly.

Fate: "Did you want me too?" I ask in surprise.

Irene: "No! Of course not." She yells looking flushed.

Ambrosia/Risu: "Answer the question." They say in unison.

Irene takes a step back and gulps, so I decide to step forward.

Fate: "In order for me to incapacitate her I had to block her lips." I say with a shrug.

Irene was turning red from both embarrassment and anger.

Ambrosia: "And how did you do that?" She presses on.

Irene: "Don't you say it, I'll kill you." She threatens me with a red face. But her threat is an empty one of course.

Fate: "With my own lips." I say with a smirk, licking my lips for added effect.
