Fate POV
Sheila: "And how does a small child tie into the first step in dealing with an entire assassins guild?" She asks pointedly.
Fate: "We can't make a plan without any information, she led the assassins here so surely she knows something, right?" I say to the cat girl who continues to stare forward with a blank face.
Sheila: "If you're smooth brain is capable of remembering a few moments ago, you said that her •Contract• doesn't allow her to tell us any information. You should have captured a more useful assassin, at the very least a more mature one." She says flatly.
Fate: "Well...you're not wrong."
I definitely could have just grabbed someone else and used •Charm• or something to get them to talk. I got too caught up on our competition I guess.
Sheila: "Of course I'm not, I'm never wrong." She says with her chest puffed out.
Fate: "But I grabbed her, so we have to work with what we got, and I'd rather talk to a harmless kitten than a cold hearted assassin." I shrug.
Sheila: "Is that a personal attack or something?" She asks narrowing her eyes. "And I wouldn't say harmless, she's got the eyes of a killer." She says appraising Evelyn.
Of course I knew she was a killer, and a very dangerous one at that, considering what race she's from. But the way she's trembling makes me sure that she won't try anything. Even slaves know all about vampires.
Fate: "Right, I forgot to change back before I entered." I say realizing that I haven't reapplied •Disguise•.
The reason that Evelyn has not said a single word is because she's been frozen in fear because of me, and Sheila I suppose. It's very subtle but if one were to look close enough, they would see that the small kitty is essentially vibrating at this point, with a blank face too.
With her blank face it would it really hard to figure out what she was thinking. Obviously, not for me.
I begin to change me and Ambrosia's vampire features using •Disguise• back to its artificial looks as Sheila watches in fascination.
Sheila: "There is not a trace magic around either of you, it's as if that is your natural foolish face. I am not even capable of identifying your statuses. To not only cast that on several people but to maintain it at all times without any discrepancies, what level is your •disguise•?" She asks as she peers closer to my face.
Fate: "I'm a lot more capable than you think." I grin.
Sheila: "Much to my dismay..." she says softly as the disguise finishes up.
Sheila continues to lean closer as I stand perfectly still.
Fate: "Are you done admiring me?" I ask with a smirk.
Sheila's eyes widen as she realizes what she was doing. She quickly yet elegantly takes a step back and stands in her maid stance.
Sheila: "I apologize for my unmaidly conduct." She says with a proper bow.
I didn't expect that. I was surprised that she didn't have a insult lined up for what I had said.
Fate: "Don't worry about it, let's worry about the little kitty here." I gesture to the still blank faced and trembling cat.
I kneel down to her level and her eyes widen as she registers my presence. She raises her small hands to her chest for protection but shuts her eyes as I reach towards her.
Fate: "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." I say gently as I start scratching a very particular spot behind her ear.
Evelyn's blank face instantly became one of happy bliss and her trembling had stopped as she sinks into my hand like she would to a soft pillow. This was the one weak spot of the Obcisor Cat tribe, a species of one of the best natural born killers.
