Chapter 5) Deliverance

Fate POV

It isn't long until we make it back to our in and we enter still smiling at the last few moments we had just shared.

Fate: "Ello Lloyd." I greet him with nod.

Ambrosia: "Hi Lloyd." She says as brightly as she can.

Lloyd: "Hey you two, is there a party going on in the guild or something? I can hear them from here." He laughs.

Fate: "Something like that." I chuckle.

Ambrosia: "It was a lot of fun." She says tiredly.

Lloyd: "I can tell." He chuckles as he glances a tired looking Ambrosia. "Have a good night you two, and maybe go easy on the tired girl tonight." He whispers to me.

Ambrosia has heightened senses as a vampire and snaps awake at the comment.

Ambrosia: "W-We're sharing a r-room, right." She mumbles with red tinted cheeks.

I throw a grin at Lloyd and he gives me a thumbs up. Ambrosia starts pushing me as Risu bonks my head angrily over and over again.

Lloyd: "Your room is up the stairs and the third one to the left!" He calls to us.

Fate: "Thanks Lloyd!" I call back.

When we reach the room Ambrosia finally stops pushing me and looks at the ground and refusing to look up.

Fate: "Is something bothering you?" I ask concerned while unlocking our room.

She wasn't looking down in embarrassment, but worry about something.

Ambrosia: "It's great that you don't snore but...I get nightmares sometimes and I'm afraid I might wake you up." She says frowning.

As the door opens I gesture her inside.

Fate: "Maybe I can help you with that." I smile.

She looks up to me with some hope in her eyes.

Ambrosia: "I wouldn't be surprised if you manage something like that." She giggles softly, then she walks in first.

I close the door behind us and find that there is only one large sized bed, I could have sworn there was two when I use •All Seeing Eyes• to check our room.

Fate: "I could sleep on the floor if you'd like." I offer since I could tell she was uncomfortable.

Ambrosia: "N-No, it's fine. You can take the bed, I'd hate to kick you off and I already owe you a lot." She says bashfully.

Fate: "That wouldn't sit very well with me, I insist that you take the bed." She's about to argue but I speak up again. "If you listen then it'll be a start towards your payment back to me."

And I had her. She can't think of a rebuttals for a few moments and a feeling of triumph starts to well inside me. Then Ambrosia makes a bold move.

Ambrosia: "T-Then we'll share the bed." She says as steadily as she can.

I see her eyes spinning as her ears begin to produce steam. As a reward for her bravery and courage I laugh softly and say.

Fate: "Alright, that's a fine compromise."

Risu: "You better not do anything to the girl, you only met her today." She says to me still sitting on my shoulders.

Fate: "Only after the third date." I chuckle.

Ambrosia: "E-Excuse me?!" She exclaims with red cheeks.

Fate: "Oh, I was talking about us." I tease just rolling with it.
