Fate POV
-One hour prior to present

Sheila: "Now then, since I have completed our work it is time I return to my paid day off." She declares as we exit the building.

Fate: "Now it's a paid leave?" I ask amused.

Sheila: "Why yes. You, my master, pulled me in for work on my day off meaning I should be paid accordingly." She says as she walks by my side, showing the outer appearance of a proper maid.

Though her vocabulary isn't like any I've ever seen in a maid.

Fate: "What happened to not being able to accept my payment earlier?" I ask with a growing smile.

Sheila becomes flustered for an extremely short moment then quickly returns to her normal state.

Sheila: "This and that are different things my master, if you have forgotten, and I would not be surprised if you had, you were the one who had insisted on giving me that excess payment. You only have yourself to blame for that attempt to buy my goodwill." She says with a flawless poise.

I chuckle.

Fate: "If you say so." I shrug.

Sheila: "Good, learning how to accept defeat is a useful skill for you to have." She says seeming satisfied.

We walk in a comfortable silence for a short while taking in the festival. The night is still young and the people are still going strong.

While I do enjoy the festival and seeing everyone enjoy it too, it just doesn't feel right to be so happy on the night so many of my friends died.

The blood moon...even though you are so beautiful, melancholy seems to shroud you. Though I remember what happened that night so long ago, I seem to have forgotten something more recent.

Yet I don't think anything is amiss.

Sheila: "Something on your mind dear master?" She asks with a genuine concern that would be hard to discern since she's so straight faced.

Fate: "Nothing you need to worry about." I smile softly.

Sheila merely looks forward.

Sheila: "I am your maid, unfortunately, meaning I have listen to your jarring voice most parts of the day. If you wish to talk about something then talk, it will help me get used to it." She says flatly.

Another soft chuckle escapes from my lips.

Fate: "Thanks."

Sheila: "You are lucky I am such a great listener." She says proudly. "Well, go on then."

I glance around as I try to figure out how to word this.

Fate: "I feel like I'm forgetting something." I finally say with furrowed brows.

Sheila's brows raise slightly.

Sheila: "It seems I was right to assume you have a bad memory."

Fate: "I have a great one I'll have you know, but...I don't know, the blood moon reminds me of a lot of things. Maybe I'm just feeling a bit under the weather." My shoulders sag defeated.

Sheila scrutinizes my face for a moment before turning forward again.

Sheila: "I will not pretend to try and understand you my master, you are a being like I've never seen before." She says without any insults. "But I am here for you to use however you'd like. If it helps, I would not mind walking around for a little while longer to allow you to get your bearings straight before we return to the others." She offers with no sarcastic remarks.
