Fate POV

It's a pretty dense forest and the path just keeps on going. Risu has fallen asleep by now but still remains on my back snoring softly, her breathing and the breeze make the walk very relaxing.

I've been testing out my abilities as I walk and just as I expected, it's like I've been using them all my entire life. But I know an old saying, 'when life gives you lemons...' wait, wrong one.

With great power comes great...potatoes, or something like that.

Just to mess around I've donned an entire set of samurai armour, and I've learned that red is my colour. I even have a katana on my side to complete the outfit.

Though I think my first outfit still looked better.

I hope Risu is still comfortable on my back with the armour as her pillow.

Suddenly a warm feeling surrounds the thread around my thumb and a scent of fresh blood fills my nostrils. Now is a good time to try out one of my new skills, •All Seeing Eyes•.

Almost instantaneously I'm able to spot a total of six people clearly able to see their details and emotions from afar. Five grown men filled with bloodlust and greed chasing a small girl who was scared out of her wits and covered in wounds with her dress cut in even more places.

They were going to enter the pathway soon meaning I needed to hurry and get over there.

My first encounter in this new life of mine, I was getting excited. But there was also a cold calmness of indifference, like I didn't care about any of them.

I need to get my thoughts together so I physically shake my head. I gently place down Risu and the moment I no longer feel her she disappears the same way she first appeared before Kazuki.

She had already explained to me how her appearing in this world worked and at the moment she probably teleported back into the void.

She needs to physically be anchoring herself to this world or have someone, me, anchor her for her or else she will automatically be sent back to the void. Meaning I didn't need to worry about her at the moment.

I grip my sheathed blade and •Flicker• some ways forward so that I would be closer to the group of people. I time my walking speed just right so that when the girl enters the path, she'll land right in front of me.

Pretty soon the girl does exactly what I thought would happen, she trips on a root right before the path and crashes down in front of me. I clear my throat determined to sell my role.

Fate: "Woah, are you alright?" I ask her concerned.

She looks up to me with terrified eyes and starts shuffling backwards. Her hand slips and she falls backwards before I can make a move.

???: "P-Please don't hurt me." She pleads holding her arms out in front of her to shield herself, she was basically crying at this point.

I try to calm her down by putting on a warm smile.

Fate: "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you." I say in a soft voice.

She looks at me doubtfully but seemed to be ready to hope for a miracle, to clutch onto the legs of the stranger before her.

Then the five chasers appear some ways behind us all bearing their teeth at me and the girl.

Chaser: "Hey! Who the hell are you?!" He yells pointing a sword at me.

Chaser: "And what are you wearing?" He asks with an odd expression.

Right, I forgot to change outfits.
