The next day at school, as soon as the bell rang we ran out.

I had fun while being on stage yesterday. Claire had found some embarrassing pictures of Victoria, so embarrassing that even I didn't want to see them. Now if she tried to do anything, we had the pictures against her. God, she is such a pain.

Hanna, Claire and Miranda joined me. We were planning on going for a run.

"So," Claire said, "We'll meet at Hanna's house in an hour and then go on our run."

"Okay."

We went our separate ways.

I had bought a sweatshirt so I could wear that for the run. I quickly found the clothes and changed into them. I had nothing else to do so I just stared at the wall and thought about how I had cheated death twice.

The first time with the fire and the second time with the brick. I knew that this sounded ridiculous but my instincts were telling me that these weren't accidents. Someone had done it on purpose but I refused to believe it. The only person I knew who would actually want to kill me was Victoria.

I looked at my watch and saw that an hour had almost passed. I went to knock on Hanna's door.

When I reached her door I was zipping up my jacket and knocking at the same time. So I didn't notice when Hanna opened the door before I could start knocking and I ended knocking on her head.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow Alex, stop." Hanna said as she rubbed her head.

"Sorry," I said as I glanced at her and then went back to zipping up my jacket, "We should go."

"Yeah." She said and then we left.

We waited outside the house by the door and talked for a little while. I was so glad that I had my friends. Soon Miranda and Claire joined us and we started our run.

We talked about a lot of things like we usually do. We talked about so many things I can't even remember half of the things that I said.

"Hey guys," I said once we had nothing to talk about, "Did you know that the reason we're moving so fast from one topic to another is because girls tend to change their topics faster than boys. If you're a girl and you're talking to your friends you might have said something that made your friend remember something that made her friend remember something and the cycle goes on and on. You might have started talking about clouds and ended up talking about homework. For a boy it's different. I'm not a boy, so I personally don't know the experience but for boys even if they change their topic from, let's say, x to y, they will change their topic back to x which is very irritating."

Anyways, after we ran, we got a little tired so we sat down to rest. The moment I did, everything went black.
