"HE DID WHAT?!"
"Olivia, relax. It's not that big of a deal" said April as she tried to calm the rather furious blonde.
"Not a big deal? April the man hit you for fuck's sake" exclaimed the Witch who was seething with rage.
It was now two days after since April had her altercation with her Father. She hadn't spoken to him since.
Firstly, she had been avoiding him as she simply didn't know what to say, she was still rather shocked at his malicious temper.
Yes, she knew he could lose control quite easily. But he had never once, raised his voice or even his hand towards the girl. Ever.
However, after a couple of days of thinking it through, she was now just annoyed. Yes, she shouldn't have ignited the fire of his wrath but he simply couldn't blame her for his childhood teasings. He needed to realise that it wasn't acceptable for him to stop her from seeing her Professor. Even if he did hate him - he needed to get over it.
"I think he's becoming suspicious... And he obviously wouldn't condole it" she said as the pair were now on their way to the dungeons.
This would be the first time she had seen and would have to interact with the Professor. She simply couldn't afford to miss classes due to their previous interaction.
"He'll do more than slap you once he finds out" Liv mumbled as her friend gave her a disapproving glare.
"That's not helping-"
"What? He'll definitely cut off Remus' balls" she said which earned her a hard blow to the arm by the brunette.
"Will you shut up" April hissed. "Look I don't even have to talk to him. If he finds out then he'll have to live with that. If he doesn't support it then he doesn't have to be apart of my life. I've never felt this way about someone in my whole entire life, and if he can't support that then he doesn't get a say" she said as her friend gave her a knowing look with a content smile.
"You're in love with him" she stated so surely
"W-what-"
"-you are in love. I can tell in the way your eyes light up as soon as you mention his name. You can't deny it much longer" Liv said as she was genuinely happy for her best friend. She too, had never seen her so happy.
They were good for each other.
"I-I don't know" gulped April as she let out a loud sigh. "I mean, I don't know what being in love feels like" she said.
"You'll just know I guess, it's not like you need to rush into anything" announced Liv as the pair had made their way into the potion's classroom and took their usual seats.
Luckily, Snape hadn't arrived yet. He always had to make a dramatic entrance. April thought.
As on queue, the classroom door opened swiftly as the Professor strode towards the front of the room.
He looked awful. Dark, prominent bags lay under his eyes and his skin was a sickly pale colour. He had obviously not been sleeping.
Seeing him like this brought a feeling of slight guilt to April, however, she tried to push that aside. He was in the wrong. She is her own person and she'd rather make choices for herself. She didn't need his own views on the man to change her mind. It simply wouldn't work anyways.
"Turn to page 94 in your books. Today we will be brewing Amortentia" Snape said as his authoritative persona filled the room.
"But Professor, we aren't meant to start that topic for another two months" piped up a brown haired Slytherin.
