"Ready to go?..."
"Yep, all set" said April stepping out the door of his cottage, conjuring her trunk behind her.
It was the first day of the school term, where everyone would be returning back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although Remus and April were a bit comprehensive about what their new relationship would be like, they both seemed pretty excited to see what the year would entail.
"Well Miss Snape, it's be an honour. I do wish to see you more around Hogwarts. If you need anything, you know where my office will be" stated Remus, trying to act more professionally.
The pair both knew that they would hardly see each other, and when they did it would only be an exchange of a few words and pleasant greetings in the hallways.
Neither of them were ready for that.
"Of course Professor, you'll be first on my pranking list, I assure you" said April with a cheeky grin as Remus chuckled and shook his head ever so slightly.
"But I appreciate what you've done for me over the summer, you're a good man Remus" she said as her smile started to slightly falter.
Remus reluctantly held back the urge to brush the singular brown lock of hair that always seemed to dangle in front of her view.
He noticed the littlest things. How her small but slightly buttoned nose - one that she didn't inherit off her Father - used to slightly twitch when she became excited over something or when she passionately spoke about her interests. How her eyelashes fluttered ever so seductively when she would intently listen to his stories, which always seemed to fascinate her. The man was so mesmerising. And lastly, one of his favourite, minuscule features about her which was the slight dimple on her left cheek - the one that would be missed to the naked eye if the individual hadn't been searching for it. However, Remus seemed to do this everyday.
"It's been my pleasure, April" hearing her name roll of his tongue so effortlessly always seemed to send a swarm of butterflies to her stomach.
And with that, they left.
Left for the new year which they both hoped to be the most memorable year...
April stepped onto the Platform of 9¾ for the very last time. The same nostalgic smell of smoke that fogged up the atmosphere slightly.
"There she is!..."
"...Our sexy witch has returned"
"Fred and George Weasley stop with that language and leave the poor girl alone" scolded Mrs Weasley who had a pointed look towards her two sons who were both just grinning.
"Mrs Weasley it's great to see you. I'm sorry I didn't spend-" April spoke and was immediately cut off by a bone crushing hug.
"Don't dare apologise, Albus had already discussed with us how you'd be spending your Summer somewhere else. It's really lovely to see you dear" As she broke the hug and instantly cupped her cheeks with a beaming smile.
"Well you children all better get going. And please behave. Don't get into any trouble" Mr Weasley directed at the two red heads and their raven haired companion.
"No promises Mr Weasley. We'll see you both at Christmas" April spoke, as the group said their last farewells.
The trio made it onto the train and situated themselves in an empty compartment.
