It was now nearing the end of the year. Exams were currently in place for all seventh years and by now April had completely recovered from the previous firework incident with the twins.
It had only taken her a couple weeks to be fully fit again, immediately going back to her quidditch training as she knew she couldn't miss her last game, of her time at Hogwarts.
It was a glorious day, the sun was beaming whilst there was little to no clouds at all in the sky. It really was the most perfect playing conditions...
"Good luck today April!"
"You'll be great!"
"I'm voting on Gryffindor today!"
Shouting and encouraging comments were all that April heard once stepping into the Great Hall for breakfast.
It was no secret that she was one of the best, Hogwarts has ever seen. She had captured an immediate spot on the team in first year, making her the youngest Chaser in history. The witch had also made her way on to the medals, trophies and had various photographs of herself scattered around the achievement cabinet alongside other great Quidditch players.
It was now the final game of the year. This was the decider of what House would be reigning champions of the academic year 1993/94.
The entire school was ecstatic. This was the day of every school year that was classed as one of the best...
Gryffindor vs Slytherin.
Students would dress head to toe in their House colours whilst some would make bets... enforced by the twins of course... which were completely against all spectator rules. However, for some reason, every year, they got let off with it.
Secretly, Professor Mcgonagall actually loved the idea. She would sneak in a few sickles which went unnoticed by the two red heads. To say she was proud of her House was an understatement. She was one of the most competitive teachers when it came to points and winning the Quidditch Cup - alongside Professor Snape. He too always strived to ensure the best in his House.
"Look who it is! The best chaser in Hogwarts!" Cheered George as April took a seat in front of him.
"Already plated up your breakfast, can't have you lacking for the game" Olivia announced with an excitable tone.
Even though the witch herself didn't play, she always loved to see her best friends do what they do best. Every match, Liv would be jumping up and down in suspense, whilst wearing a full attire of Gryffindor clothing. She would even paint her face with red and orange tribal stripes. The girl had even been banned from sitting near Lee Jordan, the commentator, due to a rather... indecent incident, that happened last year when they previously won the House Cup.
"Thanks Liv" April said whilst starting to tuck into her breakfast - scrambled eggs on toast with one sausage was always her pre-game meal. And every time, Liv would serve it up for her coming through the Hall.
"How are you boys feeling?" The brunette asked as she watched in disgust how the two would shovel done their breakfasts.
"Brilliant" they announced together.
"I've got a good feeling about this" exclaimed Fred whilst the others just nodded in agreement.
"However, I think Harry and Wood are feeling a bit anxious" George said as he pointed in the direction of the pair who sat a couple seats down from them.
"Understandable for Wood, it's his last year. His world will simply crash and burn if he doesn't win" chuckled Liv.
"Harry just wants to make the team proud too. He doesn't want to let his captain down. After all, everyone expects him to catch the snitch" said April whilst getting up and moving to sit next to the stressed third year.
