"Sit and turn to page 394" boomed the menacing voice of Professor Snape as he stormed into the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.
"Where's Professor Lupin?" Asked a blonde Hufflepuff boy from the back of the room.
"That's not really your concern is it Mr Matthews?" He simply disregarded.
"Your beloved Lupin finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time" the Professor slowly drawled out whilst keeping his gaze on his daughter.
"Now turn to page 394"
"I'm guessing it's his time of month again?" Olivia whispered to her best friend as they started to get out their text books.
"You say it like he's having his period" April chuckled as she watched the witch beside her shrug with a smug grin.
It was now near the end of February. April had been comforting Remus a few times for the upcoming full moon. They would often stay snuggled up in his chamber, either buried beneath the sheets or simply reading in each other's arms, in front of the fire with a steaming cup of tea.
Things had been blissful for the pair ever since that night Snape had interrogated them. They simply didn't have to be weary around him anymore. The pair were able to steal various glances, be in each other's presence for longer and simply enjoy being together.
Every time Remus was absent due to his condition, Snape being the only other Professor to teach the subject, had to fill in his position.
Each time he would always teach the classes about 'Werewolves and how to spot one'. This would always make April's blood boil.
She knew that he obviously didn't believe the prejudice views of society. After all, he himself was a Half-blood who was sorted into one of the most judgemental Houses. He even had his fair share of teasings and snide comments thrown at him by his class mates who were Purebloods.
April knew he was doing this all out of spite. He wanted to prove a point. A point that he was in control. One slip up from telling a singular class about Remus' Lycanthropy, and it would spread like wild fire round the school.
Snape had already been warned by the Headmaster at the start of the year that his behaviour would be totally unacceptable if he had purposely told the school. At the end of the day, Remus' job was on the line. He had struggled for so many years trying to settle down in a safe environment. And now he had finally found that.
"Werewolves?!" Stated another Ravenclaw witch. "Sir we've already been taught this by you on numerous occasions. Not to mention it's a third year topic" she stated matter of factly.
"Quiet" he slowly hissed.
"What I decide to teach is entirely my choice. Now open your books" Professor Snape declared once starting the projector and getting on with the lesson.
Snape was currently educating the students on how to successfully kill a werewolf if they ever came in contact with one.
He was enjoying himself far too much.
He would spare glances at his daughter so smugly who was biting on her cheeks trying to hold back any defensive comments. April's hands were on top of her forehead as her eyes were locked on her pages, trying to hold her composure as much as possible.
Olivia could tell how much this was affecting the girl. She too, was enraged. She hated some people's views on society. It simply wasn't fair.
In her eyes, everyone should be accepted for who and what they are. It doesn't matter if they were a Werewolf, Veela, or any other magical creature or Half-breed.
