Tears slowly hit the floor,
Something stirring inside;
Night has broke upon day,
And its darkness ignites.
Thunder shakes the walls,
Lightning slashes the shadows;
All her secrets unearthed,
Her body starts to tremble.
Storms of the evening,
Mornings the bleak wake;
To be beat and battered again,
Bent till he breaks.
Masked, trapped in silence,
A curse she can't undo;
Alone, lost, flailing,
At the brink of a typhoon.
Words lodged in his throat,
Carried to his grave;
A feeling more than thought,
But a burden the same.
Fighting herself,
Behind that closed door;
An ocean surrounds her,
The stars mock her failure.
Hidden scars amount,
On his mind as his heart;
The places he's feared,
Now not too far off.
She's broken, not "fine",
He's weak, not strong,
She's screaming, she's silent—
He can no longer go on.
