Butterfly on the breeze,

Butterfly on the breeze,

Like a ship lost at sea,

Wings wavering,

Future futile, it seems.

A storm like cloud,

Colors migrating south,

Lonely in their lovely sound,

Just outside of the crowd.

Vulnerable prey,

Predators of night and day,

Colors in the distance fade,

Life doesn't wait.

Butterfly in the sky,

With the rain, falls the cries,

A flickering light,

Watching hope slowly die.

Pride fully scarred,

Soul badly marred,

Too small to travel far,

Destined to fall.

Each beat of breath,

Pleas to the depths,

Of the earth, of the next

Sunray that might bless.

Butterfly of the dark,

Befriended only by stars,

The moon opens its arms,

It too has its scars.

Time flees the present,

It seems to run rampant,

Won't give any advantage

For trekking its trenches.

To live is to suffer,

To be rejected by others,

But to discover another,

Purposeful hunger.

Butterfly by the glow,

Beauty to behold,

Fighting to just pull

Through what colors don't know.

How courage falters,

Cause faith makes martyrs,

Could a wish stretch farther?

Than reaches the water.

The beacon is dim,

Alone with the wind,

Not born to fit in,

Or designed to win.

Butterfly, don't fret,

Some tears and some sweat,

Butterfly, get dressed,

In colors fearless.

Butterfly, this dawn,

Go prove colors wrong,

Butterfly, fly on,

You're scary when strong.

Dear Butterfly, Butterfly,

Ride that breeze and touch the sky,

Take on the world up oh so high—

From Butterfly, Butterfly.

Color your wings, Butterfly.

I know I joked about 'butterfly poems'... so I guess I'm a hypocrite. But, butterflies are not just for children's stories. They are beautiful, majestic, inspiring creatures! Created for all of us <3

Leave comments, my flowers, and I do promise that I'm TRYING to write more. I've just gotten in the habit of, well... not doing that, you know? And I've also got a lot of new ideas flooding my brain at the moment, so it's hard! (Darn creativity... ;)

Love you all <3 More poems soon! :)
