10 years;
What a rise,
What a fall,
So it flies,
So it falls—
10 years;
Tears and sweat,
Joy and pain,
It can heal,
It can pain—
10 years;
Brand new day,
Same old night,
Force a smile,
Cry at night—
10 years;
Fumes of smoke,
Flame goes out,
Open doors,
Get locked out—
10 years;
Oh the scars,
Oh the hopes,
No new cuts,
No new hopes—
10 years;
Choose to stay,
Choose to run,
Can't turn back,
Want to run—
10 years;
Stars are born,
Then they die,
Life, power,
Still they die—
10 years;
Slipping by,
Out of reach,
Out of grasp,
Cannot reach—
10 years;
Memories,
Now follies,
Like wishes,
Such follies—
Of 10 years,
Through 10 years,
At 10 years,
So 10 years fall.

I did start this book with the intention of writing, well, happier poems, ones with a positive ending. But, my poems reflect how I feel, my life at the time I'm writing, and I guess this is where I am right now :/
And, that's the nice thing about the title I chose, "If You Can Dream". It's very wide ranging.
This poem was probably pretty confusing to a lot of you, because it's about something very specific in my life. However, I hope you still found it to an extent relatable :)
Love you all <3
