Chapter 13

Cora's P.O.V
I loved the date and during the night after we came back I had been sleeping in my room when I heard someone knock rapidly on my door before running in shaking me awake.

I groaned tiredly as I yawned waking up and grumbled seeing that Road was shaking me but I noticed that she looking panicked and that quickly made me wake up.

"What's wrong Road?" Looking to her worried.

"It's Tyki; his Noah is acting up and the Earl can't calm him. His Noah keeps calling your name please we need help." Road was worried and that got me up out of bed.

Thankfully when I slept I wore a tank top and pajama pants both of us girls used Road's door to go to Tyki's room and I saw the pain that Tyki was in cause of his Noah acting up.

I walked over to the Earl and looked to Tyki worried. "How long has he been like this?"

"Thank you for coming Cora; gems been acting like this for around half an hour. I'm sorry we woke you but..." Earl spoke and he was in his human form looking just as worried for Tyki.

I smiled softly. "No I would rathar be awake to help then having Tyki in pain sir." I was alert as I took a step closer to Tyki seeing he hadn't taken notice of my presence since I had been whispering with the Earl while we talk.

I kneeled in front of Tyki seeing he was in pain and it broke my heart. "Tyki? Sweetie?"

Tyki froze and looked up in pain and I could see that he was fighting with his Noah it made me wonder what got it so worked up that it would actually wake up to this point. "C-Cora..." Tyki's voice was laced with pain.

I moved a little closer and gently rested my hand on his cheek seeing him close his eyes. "What's wrong sweetie?"

Tyki shook his head and moved pulling me against him which was completely out of character for him and I sighed softly gently running my fingers through his hair as he nuzzled me but I could still feel how tense he was.

I looked to Earl and then to the others seeing the fear before I went to ask Tyki again when I heard him speak up.

"N-Nightmare...I dreamed you were dead...I-it was so real that it riled my inner Noah." Tyki finally spoke as he rested his head against my shoulder but he was still shaking and it worried me.

I sighed softly as I gently made him look at me as I smiled softly. "I'm alright Tyki I promise; will it help if I stay with you tonight? Will that relax your and your Noah?"

Earl smiled seeing Tyki was relaxing and gaining control. "Your both close I'm more tempted to let you share a room; Cora is able to control your Noah Tyki."

Tyki looked up to me and I smiled softly already knowing what he was silently asking and I nodded my head wanting to be able to help Tyki anyway I could.

I looked to the Earl and he chuckled understanding. "Tomorrow Cora you and Tyki can start moving your things alright? For now try to get some sleep you both need it." Earl escorted everyone out and went to get Road to bed.

Once the door was closed I moved laying down with Tyki once he laid down and I cuddled him listening to his heart beat which was calm now compared to a little while ago.

"I'm sorry you got woken up cause of me Cora." Tyki spoke sadly as he was rubbing circles and patterns on my back.

I looked up to Tyki and smiled softly. "Don't be Tyki; I'm glad that I could be of help. Heck how many times have you been there awake with me when I had nightmares or couldn't sleep."

Tyki chuckled as he had silently agreed his Noah was calm now that I was near them. He looked to me smiling softly but I could tell he was tired. "Your not wrong there; I spent lots of time with you...listening to your nightmares and holding you as you cried or just talking when you couldn't sleep. But you also helped me to control my Noah; that's why I kept wanting you...I knew you could help to calm my Noah I don't know what it is but once my Noah knows your safe then he's alright."

I listened to Tyki and thought about all the times that I had been hurt and how protective he got and it suddenly all made sense. In his Noah's eyes I was their world; that to them I was more precious then anything else and it caused me to blush.

Tyki's P.O.V
Tyki was tired from fighting to control his Noah he knew that Cora was safe but his Noah needed to see and feel her close to him to relax.

He looked to see Cora blushing and playfully smiled as he held her gently to him. "What's got you blushing such a pretty red?"

Tyki smirked as Cora blushed darker and hid against his chest doing her best to hide her bright red face.

"Nothing; just a little hot in here that's all." Cora spoke although it was somewhat muffled.

Tyki thought that this would be the perfect chance to play as he moved and gently pinned her to the bed. "No no I know that there is something more making you blush or maybe someone."

Cora was blushing darker as Tyki moved closer till he started laughing and Cora hit him with a pillow starting a pillow fight between the duo.

Tyki loved hearing the happy laughter coming from Cora it made him feel happy for he was the one to cause those beautiful sounds coming from her. "Surrender Cora."

Cora still had one pillow as Tyki had one. "Never; I never surrender to you Sir Mikk." She attacked him and gasped giggling when Tyki moved catching her and started tickling her sides as she tried to escape but was laughing so hard she had tears running down her face.

After awhile Cora surrendered only because her sides were starting to get sore from laughing so hard and she decided to rest against Tyki it was early hours of the morning and her tired yawns could be heard.

Tyki made sure she was comfy as he covered them to keep her somewhat warm since it had rained for a couple days in the ark making the nights air cooler and he didn't want her sick.

"Let's get some sleep my butterfly; we have much to get done later on and you need all the energy you can get right now." Tyki kissed her forehead softly as they both easily fell asleep and Tyki's Noah was calm since Cora was with them safe and sound.
