I sighed as I walked down the icy streets, the cold breeze hitting my red cheeks. A scarf strangled my neck, a hat hugged my head and my body was wrapped in a warm black coat. I groaned as I heard Phil's voicemail again, I don't know why I keep trying to call him I know he won't answer. I tried everywhere, the university, the parks, I even called the police who are also looking for him. I checked the calendar on my phone, Christmas is in 3 days and Phil's still missing. Great, my first proper Christmas with Phil and I can't even find him. Christmas was never a proper one at the orphanage, but we always made it work. Lola would make us gifts, always only one and always very small. We'd still do our chores and stuff but at night, we'd eat chocolate and tell each other stories. It wasn't the perfect Christmas but it was ours. I bit my lip as I saw Lola's contact show up, making me answer "anything?" I shake my head into the phone, though she couldn't see me "he's been gone for a week, I'm getting really worried" she sighed through the phone, telling me to let the police handle this. I sighed and nodded, maybe the police would be better at the job than me. But, I know that if I went missing Phil wouldn't give up until he found me and I won't give up until I find him. I hang up and keep walking, slipping my exposed hands into my pockets for warmth. I sat on the park bench, rubbing my shoulders as my eyes watched my surroundings and chuckled at the random memory that popped into my head

Flashback
Phil groaned into the heavens, staring at the ceiling "I'm boreddd" I laughed at him, looking over my book and shaking my head smiling "what are you reading bear?" I blush at the nickname and show him the book, making him nod "I wish a tornado would just sweep us away from the awful place and take us to see a wizard" I chuckle and throw my pillow at him, who caught it with his face and laughed loudly "you'd die of fright!" He threw the pillow back in my direction, laughing. His smile made me heart melt. I clear my throat and read out a random line from the book "there's no place like home" that line stuck in my mind: home. What is home? I scoff at the line and look at Phil who sighed deeply "she's right, there's no place like home" I put down the book, scoffing again and switching off the lamp "it's not like we have a home to go back to" I lay down, throwing my head on the pillow and staring at Phil who was sitting under the covers in his bed "well, the orphanage is our home and I don't think home is just one place" I chuckle quitely, smiling weakly at him who was now lying down in his bed "get your head out of the clouds, Phil, this is our home and we won't ever have anything else" I bid him goodnight and turn around to stare at the wall, I heard Phil sigh and turn around in his bed. Home. The word is so simple yet has such a feeling to it. I want to go home
