"Come on, Rae. It's going to be so much fun if you tag along," Taylor whines at her. Rae just shakes her head in disbelief.

"That party is for teenagers like you two. I mean, what am I going to do there? Watch some frat boy gulping a barrel of booze?" she chuckles.

"That's where you are wrong, missy. Julie's birthday party isn't some kind of sorority party. It's a family party, organized by her father. So, no such things as a barrel of beer or what. It's a homey theme," says Mint.

Julie's father is a vice president of the city council and well known as a family man. He takes care of his family well, just like he manages his office in Rose Town.

"I don't know... I'm not in a good mood right now," says Rae.

It's been two days since Youn and her incident. Since then, the relationship has been kinda rocky. But there's no way they will break up. Rae takes this silence as a way to make Youn think about it and let him cool down for a moment.

"Please, we need a chaperon to attend the party. And you are the only chaperon that we have," says Taylor.

"You can ask Youn, right? Cole will attend the party too, isn't he?" says Rae. She can feel her heart tremble the second she mentions him.

"He's not going. Got some family stuff. His mom is in town.." and Youn didn't even mention it! How can she see this relationship status now! It slowly sliding from her hand.

"Okay, if you say so," Rae finally agrees. Why must she sit alone in her house, feeling hurt? She needs some joyful moments.

"Yeah!! We love you!!" both Mint and Taylor hug her tight.

Youn,

I'm going to a party with beagles today. And I think we need to talk about us tomorrow. Don't ghost me, please...

He puts his phone away, watching Yoo-Ji and Cole enjoy themselves eating fresh lychees that she brought along. He really admires her relationship with Cole. It's not easy to love someone else's kid. She proves how full her heart is with love and how willing she is to share it with everyone.

Looking at them makes him think about Rae. She is indeed the same as his mother. She has so much love that she even shares it with someone who isn't her blood relative, like Mint. How generous a person is when they can share their love and happiness with others! That makes him realize how much he loves her.

But he treats her like trash, just because of jealousy.

"So, when can I meet her?" he startles when Yoo-Ji suddenly approaches him. He just smiles, fidgeting his fingers on the couch.

"We need to solve something first. I promise you, I will bring her and meet you as soon as possible," he says. Yoo-Ji looks at her son. She knows he's dealing with a serious problem right now. But as usual, she respects his space and lets him handle it by himself. At the same time, she knows her obligation now is to give him some advice.

"You know, communication is the most important part of a relationship, which is something that I'm not so good at," she chuckles, looking at Youn who agrees with her, she guesses.

"But it's not always your fault, mom," says Youn.

"True. But don't you think instead of yelling and cursing each other, we can just sit down and talk? I mean, if both parties keep on talking, who's gonna listen? Communication is not only for one person, but both. Listen and talk. Understand each other. That is communication," she is right indeed. If both parties keep talking, arguing, and venting, who's gonna listen?
