Second day.

Rae hurriedly entered the kitchen, scanning the area for any notes left for her. She explored every nook of the house until she discovered the note discreetly tucked beneath the crystal vase. It appeared that the homeowner hadn't even replaced the flowers or disposed of them. She carefully unfolded the envelope and began reading.

Hello Rae,

The braised meat was absolutely scrumptious! I can't recall the last time I savored such a delectable homemade meal. It was simply perfect. Although you may consider yourself a salty person, for me, it was sweet enough, just like your smile.

I appreciate how you chose carnations for the vase because I'm not particularly fond of overly sentimental gestures. Carnations hold a special place in my heart, evoking numerous fond memories.

Oh, by the way, the DVD collection doesn't belong to me; it's my brother's. He's a fan of classic movies. I, on the other hand, enjoy watching Netflix, but time seems to elude me. Perhaps we can find a moment to watch something together in the future. By the way, I recommend a movie called 'Five Feet Apart.' I've already downloaded it.

For today, I'd love for you to prepare your favorite dish, and if you're up for it, lend me a hand in tidying up my room. I haven't had a chance to unpack my clothes since moving here. Enjoy your day today.

MR. HOMEOWNER

She grinned from ear to ear, placing the note back on the table, and embarked on her day by figuring out which bedroom she was tasked with cleaning. The door to the right was locked, suggesting that the room she was looking for must be on the left. She cautiously entered the room.

The bedroom wasn't overly spacious, but it was sufficient to leave her slightly breathless as she moved back and forth while tidying up. Her gaze fell upon two large suitcases resting on the bed. Opening one of them, she began unpacking the clothes.

"Black...more black...and black again?" she mumbled, furrowing her brows at the seemingly monotonous color scheme. She pondered how she would go about organizing them. The palette was almost entirely black and white, with occasional dark hues like navy and forest green.

It appeared that sorting the clothes wouldn't require an excessive amount of time.

"Ah, never mind. Let's just enjoy the moment," she declared, humming contentedly as she went about her task.

Joe was engrossed in his papers when he heard a knock at the door.

"Come in..."

A tall, slender figure entered with a wide smile. He was dressed in a white dress shirt adorned with blue polka dots, paired with blue-black dress pants. In his hand, he held a brown envelope.

Startled by the unexpected entrance, Joe tripped over his chair, causing papers to fly around the room. With an audible yelp, he found himself kissing the floor.

"Oh my goodness, are you okay?"

"I... I'm fine..."

"Here, let me help you," Jazz offered, extending his hand to assist his friend who had stumbled due to his unannounced arrival. Joe tightly grasped Jazz's hand and attempted to pull himself up.

In an unfortunate turn of events, Joe exerted too much force, resulting in both of them toppling over. Jazz fell right on top of him, and they found themselves locked in a surprised gaze. Jazz hadn't anticipated falling so heavily onto Joe. While he had always been a flirtatious individual, this level of intimacy was entirely new to him. The experience was both thrilling and bewildering. Joe's face turned visibly red, his messy hair and large black-framed glasses accentuating his stunned expression. They remained frozen in that position, exchanging wordless glances.
