Dressed in a red loose top and blue jeans, I left the flat and made my way to the small café where I would meet Victoria.

All day I had felt a certain anticipation, but now that the meeting was within reach, I was getting nervous. My stomach began to rumble and I tried to calm down a little the whole time.

When I stepped into the café, Victoria wasn't there yet. I picked out a nice table and sat down. When the waitress came and asked me what I wanted, I said I was still waiting for someone and would order later. The waitress nodded her understanding and left.

Just then the door to the café opened and Victoria came in. She looked around searchingly until she spotted me. A slight smile stole onto her lips and she came over to my table.

"Hi.", I beamed at her. I stood up to greet her. Victoria smiled warmly and pressed a peck on each of my cheeks as she greeted me too. Having her so close to me was strange but thoroughly pleasant and she smelled faintly of a sweet perfume.

"How are you?" she asked me. With a smile I replied, "I'm very well and you?" She replied that she was doing wonderfully too.

The waitress came back to our table and we both ordered a latte. We talked for some time about trivial things, but it was still very interesting to listen to her.

Then I asked her, "Who is that Ethan guy who answered your phone yesterday when I called?" She had to laugh. It was a jovial laugh, and it almost made her glow.

"Ethan is a friend of mine." she said as she eyed me with a smirk."So don't worry. He's not my boyfriend." I laughed now too.

Could she be reading minds, I smirked. Victoria took a quick glance at her watch and screwed up her face. "Oh damn, I think I have to go and pick up my dog now," she said and I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

"You have a dog?", I asked. She nodded. "Yes her name is Chili." I smiled and replied, "How sweet. I have a dog too."

Victoria laughed in amazement. "Next time we meet, we must bring our dogs.", she spoke with anticipation. "Yes, absolutely.", I smiled.

Victoria said goodbye to me with a hug, which I happily returned.

After she left, I was still smiling to myself. She had said we would meet again.

 Happily, I went home.
