Mother's story

Hastinapur palace

Four boys were lying on a bed. A woman who had her eyes tied was trying them to sleep (I hope you all understood who they were)

Gandhari, 'My sons, please sleep now.'

Duryodhana, 'No mata we want to hear a story.'

The other three, 'Yes mata story'

Gandhari, 'What story do you want to hear?'

Duryodhana, 'Mata, today pitamaha was saying that by the blessings of Dev Vasusena we won the war. Mata I want to hear the story of Dev Vasusena.'

Gandhari started her story,

Once upon a time, there was an Asur called Rambhasur. He did hard penance to please Lord Brahmma. After many years Brahmma was happy and he gave him a boon to be the father of an extremely powerful Asur whom no Deva could kill and he would be the king of Swarg one day. While returning from the penance Rambhasur saw a beautiful female called Mahishani. He fell in love with her and proposed to her to marry him. Mahisani gladly accepted and two of them get married. But Devraj Indra was sacred. So when Ramvasur and Mahisani were returning to their kingdom after their marriage, Devraj attacked them and he killed unarmed Ramvasur. Mahisani committed sati but from their funeral pyre the most powerful Asur 'Mahisasur' was born. Mahisasur was later killed by Devi Durga but before committing sati Mahisani gave a curse to all Devs. She said, 'If I am a true sati then one day an Asur will born who will swallow all the weapons of Dev. All Devs, Devis including Tridev and Tridevis will lose their weapons in front of him.'

Begining of Treta Yug

Devi Diti was in a hard penance. Every time her sons had to face defeat by the Devas but today she would create such a son whom no one would defeat.

Diti, 'Om Namah Brhammadev, Om Namah Brhmmadev.'

The radiance of her penance created a fire around her but she was adamant to fulfill her wish.At last, Brhammadev appeared in front of her.

Brhammadev, 'Putri Diti, please open your eyes,'

Diti, 'Brahmmadev, if you are happy with my penance please give me a boon to be the mother of an Asur who can never be defeated.'

Brhammadev, 'No my dear, none is undefeatable. Ask for something else.'

Diti, 'Then give me a son with a kavach which can engulf any weapons and divyastra. It can engulf all the Brhammastras, All Narayanstras, all Shiv shakti Astra. No Devs, Devis, Human, animals, Asur, Tridev or Tridevi can harm him. He can only be destroyed by a dev who never discriminate among anything.'

Diti (in mind), 'All Devs are Biased. So no one will kill my son.'

Brhammaedev, Tathastu.' 

Nine months later Diti gave birth to a son with a Kavach. Diti named him SahastraKavach. When he was older he attacked Swarga and destroyed everything. All devs attacked with their celestial weapons but his Kavach engulfed it all. Even Tridevs and Tridevis also attacked him but he engulfed all their divine weapons as well. 

Everyone was in Danger. The demon killed everyone who crossed his path. In his Rampage he attacked Suryalok. 

Suryadev was furious. Both he and Sahasrakavach attacked each other. Devi Sangya and Devi chaya almost lost their consciousness seeing the glowing form of SahasraKavach. Suryadev took his battle axe and threw it towards the demon. Everyone thought the Kavach would engulf that weapon as well but mysteriously the weapon hit the kavach and the impenetrable armor broke. Suryadev was so angry that without noticing anything he launched his ulka-astra which started burning the demon and then there was a burst of energy. Then when the energy was subsided, to everyone's astonishment, the demon was gone.
