Chapter : 22

'Wake up Ave...' I heard it again, this time when I am fast asleep in Regina's arms. I don't understand are you jealous of where I am and can be ??

'Hahaha nice one, wake your ass up now...let's go I want to show you something' I didn't want to give in but the showing part got my full attention.

I slowly free myself from under her arm and for a moment there I watched her sleep, she was beautiful and I could feel my heart beat faster.

'Heavenly, isn't she' the voice said to which I nodded, "and to be honest I have no idea if I even deserve her" I disclosed.

'Nobody else deserves her more then you and me, I know it sounds a bit selfish but this is how it's supposed to be now let's go before she wakes up which will be anytime once she realizes that you are missing' do I even have to really follow the voice, I wonder. I did anyways.

"So where are we going ?? And you woke me up in the middle of the night to do what exactly ?" I asked to which I got no reply. Amazing.

So I walked my way down the stairs and in the living room, 'now take a right and walk out the hallway towards the end take a Left...' it went on and on...

Once there I came across a door which the voice instructed me to open and that I did, it led me downstairs in the basement, there were five room down here...what is this place!

'Walk till the end and open the door to your left' it said and my curiosity as of now was on cloud nine.

"I am going to get in trouble for this, aren't I ??" I asked out loud and if the voice had a face I can assure you, would have rolled eyes at me.

'That is if you ever get caught' it said.

I opened the door to my left and came across a study room, now this seems to me a bit weird...study room in the basement ??

'Go on, do what you are good at' the voice mockingly said.

"Heyyyy!! I don't usually go looking around people's stuff!!" I replied in my defense.

"Regina will kill me for sure!!" I said while going through the shelf in the room, it had pictures dating years ago, geez how old are they.

'No she won't, this is not her study...God Ave, atleast respect the woman's taste...do you really think this study suits her liking...hell it's not even well suited for Joshua but this is him, I guess it is what it is' it said and I could just hear the disappointment straight up.

"Again what am I looking for ?" I asked hoping for it to be something specific or else I will for sure creat a mess going through each of these books or things.

'I don't know an album perhaps, I am pretty sure he kept few of the pictures of all of us as a family cuz he is too naive not to' the voice said and that sounded rude!!

"You make it sound as if it's a bad thing, maybe he just wanted a picture of his family as a memory of the past, not everyone is like Regina...some of us like to hold onto that one string which keeps us connected to our past which is not a bad thing!!" I mentioned.

'erhhh Tomato Tamahto, my point here is he still has pictures somewhere and all we need to do is find it' I was annoyed at this point and all I wanted to do was leave but I wanted to know what the voice wanted me to see.

"Well then let's get this over with, you check that section and I will take this one" I instructed.

'Yeh, how exactly you suppose I do that ?' right, I forgot it was just a voice I was hearing in my head which means it was of no use to me.

'Hey!! don't think like that...you didn't...' and it blabbered on and on while I searched the whole room for anything.

Finally after what felt like an hour of looking around I came across a book which was pretty old and I think this is it, still finger crossed I opened it and indeed it was what it should be!!

The first page had a picture of a young lady with a little boy, assuming his son. They both looked quite happy, 'That's Rebecca Joshua's real mother and him beside her and indeed they were happy this was taken after Regina rescued them both' the voice chimed in.

Below it was a picture of Joshua playing with a woman who wasn't Rebecca, 'Emma and they were pretty close' it said.

There were more pictures of Joshua as a kid and Rebecca, they looked so happy!!

Then there was this one picture which was burnt from a side, it was a family picture and I was shocked when I saw myself in it...wait how is it possible.

'Yeh no, that's not you...that's me Camryn and you know half of them the rest half, well I can help with that...starting from left, that's your grandfather and grandmother, my parents and yes that means I am your aunt, I know you are shaken by this new information but please try to focus, this is not what I want you to see...there's something else but for now know the characters of your story...' and the voice continues naming faces in the picture book.

This was a lot to take in...and I could hardly get past the fact that Camryn and I were related, for God's sake she was my aunt and wait a second I am talking with my aunt...who is dead or atleast supposed to be.

'I am dead Ave, you don't need to worry about that...your concern should be for yourself, in the past life I was the chose one and in this one you are, now you know everyone in the family but there's something more important I want you to see' as I turn the page I come across a half burnt picture, at first it was hard to make out what I was looking at.

'That is me with wings I know this sounds bizarre but it's the truth, it all began after my transition...It all started with a crystal on my chest...You will pretty soon go through that phase of transition as well but for that you need to accept Regina completely, now with Regina being the only one it will be different from what it used to be you both will have to trust each other for this to work out' the voice explained while I was lost somewhere in-between those words.

It will for sure take time to come around all of this.

Before I could take a look of next page I heard Regina's voice in my mind, "Your phone Ave, it's Jack and where are you ??" She said making me jump a feet, she caught me off guard.

"Yeh I am in the kitchen, came downstairs for water. I will be up in a minute" I replied back, something inside me knew that she knew where I was Cuz she is Regina and she knows everything.

Closing the book and putting it back where I found it I quickly made my way out of the study room, closing the door behind my back I rushed my way upstairs.

"Do you think she knows ??" I asked randomly.

'Oh yes, definitely. You know who she is girl that woman can see future, one thing I learned being with her is that when she asks you about something just be honest with her, no point in lying when you know that she can figure stuff out in a heartbeat and also just know that she never will question you if she thinks it's not important and worth her time' she advised.

It for sure was nice knowing about the past and if anything it made me more curious about everything, specially Camryn.

'You know right, Curiosity killed the cat' it said mockingly.

"Yeh yeh what ever, just shut up" I was done for today, no more of hearing voices today.
