Third person's pov
Walking out of the clinic, Hoseok was shocked to see a certain someone waiting for him leaning on their car.
With wide eyes, Hoseok stalked forward, his lips stretching a little in the corner--pulling into a genuine smile.
"Hey," the male leaning on the car waved, eyes twinkling with excitement.
"What are you doing he-here?" okay, maybe was a little excited as well. It just felt nice to have someone surprising him like this. To know that at least a few really cared.
"I sent you a text," the male pushed himself off of the car and leaned forward a little, "You didn't reply. So I figured you'd be here," he shrugged.
"And why did you text me?"
"I wanted to have lunch with my most favorite hyung," the latter grinned brightly. Moving aside, he managed to open the car door and motioned the elder to get in.
"Why, thank you," Hoseok chuckled as he got inside the car and buckled his seat belt. Somehow the small smile etched on his features didn't leave.
And to a certain brunette, the sight looked so pleasing.
"A picture might last longer, Tae," Hoseok managed to say as another chuckle tumbled out of his, now, chapped lips.
"Maybe I should take a picture for real," Taehyung mumbled loud enough for Hoseok to hear from inside the car as he fished his phone out of his pockets--making Hoseok laugh a little more.
"Stop it and get in!" Hoseok scolded lightheartedly.
When was the last time he smiled like this? he wondered to himself but he shook the thoughts off because right this moment he was happy. He was happy and he wasn't going to ruin it. He wasn't going to ruin his chances of feeling something other than the suffocation after months.
The car ride was filled with little giggles and a lot of nonsense Taehyung had to say. He just wanted to see his Hobi hyung smiling like this, so he didn't mind making a fool out of himself.
A small part of him still ached, though. Ached knowing Hoseok was not going to accept him, but he still has to confess. Not today, but he'll do soon. He wanted to let Hoseok know that someone loved him for real and that someone was him. He knew it was stupid, but he still hoped for a miracle to happen.
Miraculously a certain elder reciprocates his love.
But that was impossible and Taehyung knew.
How? you might ask.
Anyone with two eyes can see how Hoseok loved his husband. They might not know about the hanahaki growing inside him but they could see his fond eyes. They saw how Hoseok defended for his husband any chance he got.
Everyone knew because he was so obvious.
But, of course, Yoongi was oblivious.
"Where are we going, though?" Hoseok's soft voice pulled him out of the turmoil his mind was going through.
He might sound corny but, still, Hoseok somehow made him calm everytime. Just a look at the elder and he'd feel at peace, though Hoseok was the reason for most of the chaos in his head.
Hoseok was the cause and the cure.
"There's this new restaurant," Taehyung started as his turned another right as his navigation showed. "The food there is so nice,"
