Play - Maze [Kim Nayoung]

Third person's pov

"It's okay. Just cry," he had whispered softly. And Jungkook did just that.

"I'm sorry, hyung!! I didn't know. I didn't mean to. I didn't," the youngest blabbered as he let loud sobs echo in his old room. The latter rubbed small circles on Jungkook's back as he shushed the male. He knew how guilty his best friend felt. Jungkook never calls him hyung, but now he did and that shows.

"Taehyungie hyung," another loud sob rippled out of the younger's thin pink lips, "I'm really sorry!!"

"It's okay, bun. Just cry," Taehyung placed a soft peck on the crown of Jungkook's head. "It's not your fault, okay? It wasn't. Hyung is not blaming you," the elder wiped the brunette's tears as he whispered soft nothing in the boy's ears, placing comforting kisses on his head.

"I'm sorry,"

Finally, Jungkook's crying had died down as both the best friends sat on the floor with Jungkook clutching on Taehyung for his dear life.

"When did you last eat?" the elder brunette whispered as his hands soothingly drew small circles on his friend's waist.

"Don' know," the latter mumbled tiredly, his face pressed onto the crook of Taehyung's neck, inhaling the calming scent.

"Let's go get something in your system. Get up,"

"No hyungie," he responded his voice small. "Don't deserve to eat. I killed Hobi hyung!!" new set of fresh tears started making it's way down his cheeks.

"Bub!" Taehyung's voice was soft yet stern at the same time. "No one's blaming you. It's not your fault, you didn't know,"

Maybe they were all trying to reason it's not Jungkook's fault, but it partly was. Wasn't it?

Jungkook should've let Yoongi go. Long back. But why didn't he?

Question the first set of flowers that had started growing in him. Maybe, that'll answer the question for you.

"Let's get out of here, first." Taehyung stood up whilst pulling the male who was latching onto him like a koala with a heavy groan. "Get changed, we'll leave in five minutes," with that Taehyung walked out.

And Jungkook knew he could never argue on that with Taehyung. The sternness in his voice left no room for the younger's protests.

Getting dressed, the two of them walked to a near by café, the bright light of the day shining brightly on his eyes.

"Jungkookie," Taehyung started as the two passed buildings down the road to their destination.

"Yes, hyung?"

"Just so you know, I'm not mad at you, okay? Whatever happens, it is meant to happen. Okay?"

Jungkook knows that. And he knew that Taehyung was being sincere with his words.

He wasn't mad with Jungkook.

And Jungkook felt glad for that and only then had realization stuck him.

Is this how his Hoseok hyung felt when his best friend and husband stayed mad at him?

Jungkook could never live with that.
