"It is my pleasure to finally meet you after a long time. I have never met a female Alpha before. I thought they were called Lunas." Jocelyn remarked as they stood by the buffet, sipping wine.
"No a Luna is the bride of the Alpha. Alpha is like the King of the werewolves and in this case, it is a Queen." She explained, sipping her wine.
She nodded her head in understanding. "Ah, I see. I personally adore werewolves. You all throw the wildest parties."
Serephina laughed. "Thank you. Everyone here is wild but for the wedding's sake, we are sober."
She laughed. "You are an absolute delight. I don't see why no man likes you."
"I'm not searching for any man right now and also, since I'm an Alpha, they are intimidated and their ego is hurt."
"Yeah, tell me about it. Men and their egos." They both giggled among each other. Serephina felt happy to have a woman understand her and not tell her that she belonged in a kitchen rather than being an Alpha. She took genuine interest in her and was actually very sweet. She never would have known that Edward was her son until he said so himself. They both were opposites.
"So, do you have any special ability?"
"Pardon?"
"You know, special powers or abilities. Every Alpha has a superpower right?"
She nodded her head. "Yes, I do. But if I tell you, you will laugh at me."
"I will certainly not."
"Okay. I can make things come true just by talking about it."
She widened her eyes. "How so?"
"I'll give you an example. What do you want the most?"
"Um, lets say I want a pair of pretty gold earrings." The next moment Serephina stood beside Jocelyn, a creepy look in her eyes.
"I heard Lady Jocelyn Seth got a new pair of gold earrings." She whispered into her ear, her voice eerie and low. No sooner did she say this than a pair of gold earrings appeared in her hands.
"How did you...?" Jocelyn stuttered, looking flabbergasted.
The corners of her mouth twitched. "My speech has power. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to be elsewhere. It was great talking to you." With that she smiled sweetly and waked away.
Jocelyn stood there flustered for a moment. Then her mouth curved into a smile. "That girl is unique. She is perfect for Edward." She said to herself, shaking her head.
The orchestra started playing a sweet melody when the bride, Beatrice Heather walked down the aisle, looking gorgeous in her red chapel dress with an open back and bateau neckline with long sleeves. Her blonde hair was tied into a French knot with a net veil covering her head. She carried a bouquet of lilies. She was followed by two bridesmaids, one being Delta Green and the other being a warrior. They both wore golden a line gowns which were simple and reached their ankles. They carried a bouquet of lavender each.
The groom, Beta Heart, stood on the aisle, looking at his soon-to-be bride with eyes filled with love and affection. He wore a red suit with a white shirt and red matching shoes. His dark hair was combed back and behind him stood his best man, Zeta Kafik in a gold suit. In the middle of the isle stood the Minister Alpha Black in her violet dress.
The bride stepped on the aisle, both of them facing Serephina. The bridesmaids took their places behind her. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have gathered here on the occasion of joining two mates in the beautiful contract of marriage. The Goddess Selene has blessed them to find their soulmates in each other, to find love and happiness in each others' hearts. May Goddess Selene bless this couple to stay bonded together for all eternity. You may go ahead with your vows."
They took their respective rings and faced each other. They reported their vows to each other and slipped the rings on each others' fingers. They held both their hands and still faced each. "Both of you please repeat after me. We swear on Goddess Selene to accept each other with all your flaws and stand by you through good and bad, through happiness and sadness, through health and sickness until death do us apart."
"We swear on Goddess Selene to each other with all your flaws and stand by you through good and bad, through happiness and sadness, through health and sickness until death do us apart." They repeated sincerely in unison.
"Place your tattoo on each other." Couples were required to brand the symbol of their goddess on each others to bind their relationship. Serephina offered the sacred hot tool used to brand. Caleb went first, placing the hot tool on Beatrice's shoulder. She winced slightly in pain and Caleb instantly blew over her pain. Caleb rolled up his sleeve and Beatrice branded his forearm.
"By the grace of the heavens and our Goddess Selene, I pronounce thee husband and wife. You may kiss each other." Everyone stood up and clapped for the wedded couple as they kissed each other on the aisle.
