She touched her neck, the spot where he had licked her. The memory itself brought butterflies in her stomach and she craved for his cold, electric touch. She blushed just by thinking about that. She shook her head to get rid of her redness and stepped outside the bathroom. She dressed herself in a black dress with a white corset around my waist and brushed her hair neatly.

There was a knock on her door. "Come in." She called out, slipping a bracelet on her wrist.

Beta Heart entered the room. "Alpha, are you aware of the Blue Moon pack?"

"Yes, I'm aware. I had got more threats from their Alpha. Why do you ask?"

"Well, turns out there is a new Alpha. The current Alpha is Cain Albert. He wants to meet you."

"Why?"

"To apologize for the previous pack leader's behavior and establish good relations with you."

She sighed, thinking about it. "Did he send any letter stating where he wants to meet?"

"He is actually waiting outside the pack borders. He seems to be alone."

"What? I shall go meet him immediately."  She walked out of her house and towards the pack borders. Sure enough, a man stood just outside the pack borders. He was tall and muscular, his skin golden brown, black hair and amber eyes. He wore a simple shirt and trousers, looking formal and his hair was combed back.

"May I ask what are you doing here?" She asked the gentleman, approaching him.

He turned and bowed. "Fair lady, I wish to talk to your Alpha."

She rolled her eyes. "Yes, I'm their Alpha. What do you wish to convey?"

He looked surprised and slightly embarrassed. "Oh, I was aware that the Alpha was a female but It was not in my knowledge that their Alpha is such a woman of such beauty."

One of the pack soldiers looked at him with disgust and stood on alert. Everyone in the pack were protective of Serephina since she was the last descendant of the Black line and also, she was the one to gather them and lead them from such a young age. The pack's women were treated equally unlike other packs.

She raised an eyebrow. "I request you to get to the point. If you are here to flatter me then I'm sorry to inform you that you have come to the wrong place.'

He bowed again. "I apologize for my outright behavior. I have come on the behalf of my pack to apologize for our previous behavior. I hope we can maintain good relation with each other."

She studied him for a minute. "I did not know that Adams had a son."

He chuckled. "Oh no, I am not his son. I had challenged him to a duel and became the Alpha."

She nodded her head in understanding. "I see. Well, apology accepted. Would you like to come in for some tea?"

He shook his head. "I would love to but maybe some other time. I have some work to attend to." They both bowed to each other and he walked away, leaving her alone. She turned around and entered her pack, her mind running with thoughts. She found it suspicious that he came to meet her without any prior letter. All werewolf packs did. It was strange.

Later that day, Edward sat in his room, reading his favorite classic, A Tale of two Fairies. It was a tale of two fairies from different realms finding love and companionship in each other. They overcome their difficulties and be together for the rest of eternity. It was cliche but he liked it.

There was a knock on his door. "Come in." He called without looking up. His mother entered the room, closing the door behind her.

'So, how did it go with her?" She asked excitedly, seating herself across from him.

He did not bother lying. "It went well."

"Oh good good. I'm so happy for you that you finally have someone to love."

He put down his book and looked her in the eye. "Is that all you've come here to say mother?"

"You always catch me, don't you? Now, I came here to request for a ball."

"A ball? Why?"

"Well, one week from now is the day of independence. Independence from you know who."

He thought about it for a minute. "Alright. I accept however, you will have to organize by yourself. That shouldn't be a difficult task for you."

She nodded, looking happy. "Of course my dear. I shall prepare the guest list right away. However, I shall invite the important guests to stay in the starting from tomorrow. There is so much to do in such a little time. I'd better get going." She stood up and left hurriedly.

He blinked for a moment in confusion and picked up his book. Then he remembered something. He wanted to ask whether she'll be inviting Serephina to stay too but he decided against it. She probably would. He buried his nose back into his book.
