Chapter 5 (Meeting by coincidence)

We have been in Italy for a week now and we were enjoying everything from the architecture to the food, if I wasn't careful I think I would roll back home. For five days nonstop we walked taking pictures, trying new foods or just having fun forgetting the world around us and it felt good but that was for a short period of time. Today Sid and Joe wanted to check out some type of bar in the middle of the city because they wanted some man time, while Grace wanted to go to a spa and soak off all the walking from the previous week but I had other plans. I wanted to walk around the stalls and just enjoy everything on my own time as we would sometimes rush through everything and not enjoy it besides I needed new film seeing as I took way too much pictures

"Okay Alex I am off to my spa you sure you don't want to come?" She asked me popping her head in the room as I stepped into my dress which covered my bikini

"Yeah I am sure, I wanted to check out some of the stalls a few blocks away maybe another day?" I replied and she smiled
"Sure, but your loss because I will be enjoying those relaxing messages and steamy rooms" she replied wiggling her eyebrows in which I laughed loudly rolling my eyes
"Enjoy" I yelled as she walked out the door

"Finally I can do whatever I want" I said mostly to myself and pulled on my sandals.

Walking alongside the pebble road amongst the people, I enjoyed listening as they spoke in their language; it was smooth yet fast while their hands signaled as they spoke, children playing in the fountains and the grownups just enjoyed their food and laughter. Spotting a stall with different kinds of gadgets I walked to it and was mesmerized by the different types of bags, jewels and a lot more.

I walked to each and every stall there was to see, and I stopped at the cathedral the church was big but really beautiful and It stood tall in the busy streets. I never know why I didn't come sooner to this place, it was so beautiful everything looked old but yet too beautiful to describe the perfection it had to it. I walked deeper into the city because my curiosity got the better of me as I wanted to see more and more of this magnificent place called Italy.

Taking pictures of all my surroundings but it was so much, then I spotted a coffee shop with the aroma lingering taking me closer as I entered the wooden doors looking around me it was a small comfy place with little space but really nice as I stood in line waiting to order, looking at all the different types of coffee's they had on the menu

"Welcome to Café Gili what can I get you?" The attendant asked taking my eyes off the menu smiling at her
"Hi, may I please have a Café Latte with double espresso shot?" I asked and she smiled back
"Sure coming right up your name?" she replied
"Alex thank you" I said just when I turned around I bumped into something really hard and felt burning liquids cover my front and shirt "Shit" was all I heard while I tried to grip my shirt before the burning got to my skin but it was too late

"Fuck its hot" I hissed dramatically feeling the burning against my chest and ribs as I fanned my shirt looking at the ground
"Watch where you're going" the man said as I saw he was also covered in what I presume is his own coffee
"I am sorry I didn't mean to..." I started grabbing napkins from the counter, dabbing it against his chest and shirt

"No, no you are making it worse" he tried to swat my hands away but I was persisted trying to dry this man's shirt
"Stand still I am trying to help" I said and looked up at his face which was the worst mistake I made
"Now I can't go to my fucking meeting because of this" he said while I still tried cleaning him
"Just STOP" he said in a demanding voice which I did with my hand mid-way on his chest, my eyes glued to his irritable face taking in the most handsome feathers of a man that ever was completely forgetting about my burning shirt

"I...I didn't...I'm sorry" I stammered just then he took his eyes off his own shirt to look at the culprit who wasted his coffee but soon enough he was also staring at me

"One Café latte for Miss Alex" The attendant yelled in which I was still in a daze but snapped out of my trance
"I uh... That's me" I raised my hand looking at the man still watching me with curiosity making me scared shitless
"Well this was a waste of a day" He said in a softer tone which I looked at him weirdly.
"I am really sorry about this but you could have also looked where you were going?" I said pointing towards him
"Ah said the one with her back turned towards me and turning as if someone was ready to nab you" he said offending me a little

"Well I think I am the one with more coffee on them don't you think?" I replied looking at my once white shirt now stained with brown
"I don't have time for this" he replied making his way out of the shop as I turned to the girl who made the coffees

"Can I please have a coffee whatever that guy was drinking?" I asked her as she smiled
"Sure" she replied making the coffee and handing it to me luckily the place wasn't too busy as some of the people stared and the scene that was unfolding in front of them
I thanked her and made my way out of the coffee shop to search for the guy when I spotted him standing with an older guy I walked up to them only the older man noticing me as I smiled

"Excuse me sir" I said politely
"What the hell now?" He grinded out while turning towards me when he saw me has was shocked at first but cover it up with a glare I handed him the coffee
"Just something to make up for the spilled coffee" I said while he took the cup and I turned walking away

(Hayden's POV)

"What was that all about?" James asked me while I watched her leave, she left me in awe while I knew it was both our faults she still went and bought me a new coffee. She didn't even worry about her own shirt and she still tried to help me. When women saw me they saw power, fame and money always trying to be in the spotlight but this women told me off right on the spot and then I smiled

"I have no idea" I said while looking at him and then at my coffee
"Well I guess you first want to change before we go to the meeting?" James looked at me while we climbed in the car
"Yes I can't imagine going to the meeting covered in coffee" I laughed still thinking about the women I wish I didn't have to be so rude to her but after the day I am having I just want it all over. It has been a week since I am back and I still haven't gone to my family nor did I get work done as for now I have a meeting with the Italian Shipment group with the equipment arriving, but guess I will be late.
After cleaning up myself James and I headed to the small company in Florence, now in the meeting discussing new ways for the shipments to arrive, the head of the company snapped me out of my thoughts

"So the new software will be here in the next week or so Mr Blacc and soon after we receive the new software we will be up and running in two days" the head Tec replied while we were sitting in the board room
"Well that is good to hear and the Managing Team for the software?" I replied looking at the stats in front of me
"They are also busy with the last shipments to go to the U.S than they will set up the next to get to London" he offered and I looked at him with a smile
"Then everything is done just send me the last documents that needs to be signed and then you can go forward with London. Thank you everyone that would be all" I replied well satisfied with the outcome, maybe my day will be getting better after all. I thought back to the woman in the coffee shop she looked so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on where I have seen her before. Well maybe I will bump into her again and then I can just say thank you for the coffee, now come to think of it I haven't even thanked her. My phone started ringing taking me out of my thoughts

"Hayden" I said into the phone
"Mr. Blacc I am so sorry to bother you but Mr. Zing and Mr. Yakima had moved their meeting within the next 3 days sir" my secretary rushed into the phone
"Did you tell them I am in Italy?" I asked
"Yes sir but they said they had other business to attend to in Tokyo and they cannot wait for another week sir I tried to ask if we can move it after they come back but Mr. Yakima said it would not be possible and..."
"It's fine Jane I will be back in time for the meeting just get everything ready until then" I assured her not to worry
"Yes sir thank you see you then" she replied
"See you" I ended the call and looked at James
