Chapter 7

REGULAR POV

I was sitting on my bed, crying into a pillow. I had been home an hour and yet to stop the tears. Dee-Ann had tried to talk to me but I brushed her off and ran to my room. I felt bad but I really didn't want to explain everything to her right now. I think she understood, because she didn't persist. I decided to take a shower. Maybe that would make me feel better. Just as I was stepping in there was a knock at the front door. Dee will get it I thought to myself. I jumped into the shower and turned on the waterproof CD player.

"Misery loves company,

well so long you're gonna miss

me when I'm gone.

Won't look back when I

say goodbye."

Shit I thought I hadn't noticed what CD was in but when I heard the song I knew at once. I slid down the wall till I was in the sitting position. The hot water was running over me hiding my tears. I couldn't stop. I didn't want to hate them, but it was so hard not to. It was so hard to forgive them no matter how hard I tried. No matter how much I wanted to hug them tonight I couldn't the hate wouldn't let me.

Twenty minutes later after putting "When I'm Gone" on repeat, I stepped out of the shower. My eyes were puffy, and my nose was stuffy from all the crying.

I walked into my room and got on a pair of my workout booty shorts, and a sports bra. That was one of the perks of living with a female roommate, I could walk around in whatever clothing I liked. I went to go get a beer from the kitchen, but when I opened my bedroom door into the living room, I almost screamed.

There sitting in my living room was my brother and the guys.

"What the fuck!?" I yelled.

"Brianna, I think we need to talk." Dee said walking towards me.

Seb stood up and tried to say something as he walked towards where I stood.

"Sit your ass down. Don't even try to come near me." I hissed before turning to David, "You. You brought him here? I thought I could trust you."

Slowly tears started to dart down my face. I walked towards my room and slammed the door.

"Brie can I come in?" Dee-Ann said knocking on my door.

"Ya sure."

Slowly she opened the door and walked towards my bed. She sat down beside me and kinda laughed, "So you have a brother?"

"Look Dee I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to be nice to me because of who my brother was. Plus I wanted to forget him. I wanted to move on with my life and that meant not having him in it. He hurt me so badly, they all did."

"Aw hunny, I wouldn't have cared if your brother was the King Of England, well actually I would have asked for a house for Christmas from you, not a pair of boots but that's beside the point. The reason we are friends is because we are so much alike. Honestly who else can match me drink for drink until we both get stupid and dance Coyote ugly on the bar. No one. That's why we're friends. Not because of who you know. However this is a perk to the friendship," she laughed.

I laughed a little as I wiped away a stray tear. I knew I had made the right choice in a roommate.

"Thanks," I whispered giving her a hug.

"No problem. And before you go into what happened between all you guys, I already know. They told me, and even though they did fuck up, that's your brother out there. He loves you enough to come all the way here in the middle of the night to talk to you. I think you should give him a chance."

"I want to but it hurts so much, and as much as I don't want to hate him I do"

"He knows that and he's ready to hear it. Give him a chance hun."

"Fine" I grumbled.

"Oh and you may want to put a sweater on, because that Pierre guy was totally checking you out."

"Um eww he used to be like my brother. I've known him forever." I laughed as I grabbed a sweater from my closet. I didn't say anything else on the subject because I didn't want to get into the topic of my everlasting love for Pierre Bouvier.

I put my sweater on and walked out to the living room. Pierre smiled at me and I half smiled back. David looked down at his feet.

"Loser" I said loud enough for him to hear. He looked up and smiled.

Chuck walked towards me and started to stammer, "Brie I'm..."

"Chuck shut up and give me a hug."

"Aw I want a hug to!" David said leaping into Jeff's lap.

We all laughed as Jeff pushed him to the floor. Seb had yet to meet my eyes which was frustrating me even more. Finally I looked at him and said nonchalantly, "If you want to talk my door is opened." With that I walked into my room and sat at my desk. I turned on my laptop and started to type out my notes. It took a few minutes but finally heard my door shut. I didn't have to turn around to know Seb had sat down on my bed.

"What you doing?"

"Typing out some notes. Test tomorrow." I stated sharply.

"Oh"

There was felt like a lifetime of silence. It was unnerving. I couldn't sit there in silence so I stood up and went to my closet.

"Brianne I'm so..."

Then before he could finish his sentence I ran towards him and threw my arms around his neck.

"Seb I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being a bitch, I'm sorry for hating you. I'm so sorry for being mad at you. I was being a baby and so selfish." I cried.

"Brianne why are you apologizing. It's not your fault. I'm the one who should be apologizing. I should have never listened to mom and dad. I should have been there. I let you down. I'm sorry."

"Wow they are dicks aren't they." I laughed wiping a tear from the corner of my eye.

"That they are, but I think we knew that all along. We just refused to believe it."

"Oh well their loss. So are we okay now?"

"Ya I think we're good." Seb laughed as he pulled me into a headlock.

I laughed and tried to get out of it. It wasn't working, I may have been stronger then the last time he saw me, but he was still my older brother and could still kick my ass.

After a few minutes of wrestling, I was out of breath and needed a drink.

"OK let's go out to the living room, their all going to think one of us is dead if we don't," I laughed wholeheartedly.
