Up above the guys were drinking and laughing. Pierre however was sitting on the one couch slowly sipping his beer.
"Hey Bouvier, what's up with you?"
"Huh? Oh hey Tommy, nothing just listening to the music. You know relaxing, long couple of days eh?"
"Ha that's for sure. But um if you were listening to the music then why haven't your eyes left Sebastian's sister."
"Oh I didn't even notice she was down there."
"Ya right man. You suck at lying. Sorry but it's true. Is there something going on between you guys?"
"Hell no. She's like my sister. I've known her since she was five. We're just friends."
"Ya but I'm guessing you wish it was more. She is a good looking girl. You better do something before Jacob gets his claws into her."
"Thanks for the advice but seriously we are just friends. Nothing more... now or ever."
"Ok man, but remember you seriously suck at lying."
With that he walked back towards the rest of the group.
Pierre kept his eyes on the dance floor, watching the way Brianne moved. She was dancing with some guy now. His eyes watched her hips move, swaying in time with the guys. Seductively to the music. She was one with the guy, moving together at one pace.
Pierre felt his heart beat a little faster. Longing to be the guy she was dancing with. To have her back pressed up against his chest. It was at that moment he decided he was going to be that guy. He was going to ask her to dance. Putting his drink down, he made his way to the stairs. As he began to descend he heard a familiar voice. Looking towards where Brie had been dancing, he saw her dancing with a different guy. Their backs were facing Pierre, but something was familiar about her partner. He made his way towards the two. Suddenly Pierre saw who she was dancing with. Jacob. Pierre stopped dead in his tracks and cursed himself for not doing something earlier. Tommy was right, Jacob had gotten his claws into her. She was smiling and laughing as they danced and he whispered something into her ear.
Jacob was supposed to be his friend, but at the moment Pierre felt a strong hate towards him. Was he jealous? 'No', he thought to himself. No that can't be it. Why would he be jealous, Brie was his friend. More like a sister actually, he wasn't jealous. Just worried. He knew how Jacob treated girls he got with, he only wanted one thing. Pierre was just angry because he didn't want that to happen to Brianne. He had to warn her, before she got hurt.
'Yes, that's why I'm mad' he continued to say in his head. 'I can't be jealous, I can't'.
Could he?
"Ugh!", he finally said aloud and headed back up the stairs to where their seating was. He needed a drink. He needed to stop thinking about all this, it was too complicated. He sat himself unknowingly beside Brie's friend Dee-Ann and called over the waitress.
"Three shots of Gold and a Southern and Coke please." he sighed.
"Hey there, you're Pierre right?"
"Oh hey. Sorry I didn't even see you there. Having fun?"
"Oh ya for sure. It's been awhile since me and Brie actually went out and partied. Looks like she's having a blast. I think she really likes Jacob. How about you, having fun?"
"Oh ya for sure. And you really think she likes him?" he replied, pausing to look at them again.
He felt a low growl come from deep inside.
"I'm sure of it. She has pictures of him all over her room. She's a huge Hedley fan."
"Oh wonderful" he stated under his breath.
"Pardon?"
"Oh nothing sorry it's been a long day."
"Ha ha probably, first a concert, then all this drama with Brianne and now partying."
"Ya you can say that again."
As the two continued to talk, the drinks started to arrive one after another. Before long, Pierre could feel the buzzing in his head. Brie had come back up to the balcony with Jacob's arm around her waist. They sat a bit away from the group talking and whispering to each other. Brie was clearly inebriated. Her drinks which were doubles in the first place were going down like water. Her eyes were like panes of glass, extreme glaze.
Pierre looked back over at Dee who was flirting with him quite publicly, then back at Brie, who was sitting in Jake's lap by now.
"Fuck this. Hey Dee, want to dance?"
"I thought you'd never ask." she smiled seductively.
Pierre grabbed her hand and headed towards the dance floor. His head was really spinning now. Maybe standing up hadn't been a very good idea. As they made their way down the stairs Pierre saw Brie shift her eyes towards them. She didn't look to happy.
The beat made Pierre's heart move quickly. He didn't want to dance, but he was sick of sitting watching Jacob make-out with Brie. Dee didn't seem to mind that he wasn't really into it. She let the music take control of her. She pressed herself tightly against him. Moving in ways that would make any man want more. She was trying her hardest to get him to want to do just that.
He seemed to let the alcohol take control. Taking her waist in his hands he pulled her as close as possible. An innocent dance soon turned into something to be imagined. All of a sudden Pierre was pushed forward, stumbling into another couple. He turned his head quickly attempting to catch a glance at the culprit. Instantly he caught sight of Brianne stomping away towards the bathroom. 'What the heck is her problem?' Pierre thought to himself before he turned his attention back to Dee. A few minutes later they made their ways back up to the VIP room. Everyone was gathered for a very drunken game of I Have Never/Truth or Dare. It started off very innocent and everyone was having a good time. Brianne was shooting back whiskey like a champ.
After a few rounds the game took a new turn.
"I have never had sexual dreams about anyone in this group." Jacob started.
