"Hey, love" Hunter's voice comes from my phone as I look for what to change in to. "One minute, I'm changing!" pulling on one of Hunter's shirts that I took before leaving, I grab my shorts and dive for my bed.

I pick up my phone that was lying on the bed, giving hunter the view of the ceiling. "Hey" I exhale, resting back on my pillow with my phone in my hand. He smiles, running his hand through his hair "how was your day, princess?"

I sigh, shutting my eyes for a brief moment before opening them. "Tiring. Classes just started and everyone is all over the place" he pouts, "are you settling in fine?"

"Kinda. I mean, I'm still a little scared to be here on my own but I'm trying" I shrug, getting more comfortable under the covers as the room grows colder. "I miss you" he admits, looking away from the camera, my shoulders sag as the reality of being away from him sinks in.

"I miss you too, Hunter. I don't even know how I'm supposed to go through a whole semester without sleeping next to you." He looks sad for a moment before his face changes, "we can have the next best thing though."

I raise an eyebrow, tilting my head in confusion. "Are you comfortable?" he asks, ignoring my confused look, I shake my head no. "Well, then get comfortable" he encourages me, I slide into my covers, pulling the sleeves of the shirt over my arms to keep warm.

"I want to tuck you in over the phone alright? We could face time every time it's night time over there" Hunter explains his idea. My eyebrows furrow "but, isn't there a time difference? Wouldn't be harder for you?"

He shakes his head no, "what would be harder for me would be not being able to see your face every day." I smile, "aw, Hunter," he waves it off, beaming "alright, alright, I'm supposed to be getting you to sleep not keep you up longer. You have class tomorrow, don't you?"

I nod, yawning. He ended up telling me about his day and that's when I start dozing off, but, just before I fell asleep, I heard him say something that I'll never forget.

"It doesn't matter how far we are from each other, how many girls I meet, you'll always be my number 1 girl. I love you." I was tempted to tell him how much I loved him but I was already really sleepy but I do remember mumbling a small 'I love you too' very sleepily and very incoherently.

And, that was the beginning of our tradition. Whenever, either of us are away from each other, we spend the night on the phone, talking until one of us falls asleep during facetime.
