I'm a motherfuckin' train wreck
I don't wanna be too much
But I don't wanna miss your touch
And you don't seem to give a fuck

She watched him sit on the couch surrounded by girls, flashing a smile at one of the girls sat beside him. Rolling her eyes when one of the girls put her hand on his thigh, he looks up as if sensing her eyes on him, the sides of his lips turn up in a smirk.

She looks away immediately, walking away from where she was standing. She slips, expecting to meet the floor shutting her eyes but, before anything, a pair of arms wrap around her waist catching her before she hit the floor.

Her eyes flutter open looking into the eyes of the stranger that caught her, he smiles as he lets her go to stand on her own, his hands still around her waist. She tries to smile but his arms around her waist distract her, it doesn't feel right circles her mind but she shakes her head and moves away after muttering a small thank you to the stranger.

She walks away, knowing that while he's between those girls he didn't give a fuck, how wrong she was. Her back faces Chase and she doesn't know that his eyes are on her, wondering what went on between the stranger and her.

I know we be so complicated
but we be so smitten, it's crazy
I can't have what I want, but neither can you

Chase keeps his eyes on her, watching as she walks past everyone in the room to meet a black-haired man. He watches them talk, watching as the guy's eyes flicker towards to her lips and then back.

Chase stands up making his way towards them but before he gets even close to them, the black haired guy leans in to kiss her but she places her hand on his chest to stop him. Her mind immediately going to Chase when he tried to kiss her. Chase shook his head, smiling and clearing the thoughts from his mind as he made his way back to the girls he was sitting with, his girl still on his mind.

But you don't want me to see nobody else
and I don't want you to see nobody

She can't explain why she won't let the guy kiss her, his touch felt foreign but when it came to Chase... it was everything but that. They've never been identified as a couple but it was their unspoken rule, he was hers and she was his.

Friends with benefits? Is that what they were?

They weren't even sure they were friends, she felt more than that and he did too. They're complicated were the words their friends would use to explain their strange behavior with each other.

Even though you ain't mine
I promise the way we fight
Make me honestly feel like we just in love
'Cause, baby, when push comes to shove
Damn, baby, I'm a train wreck, too
I lose my mind when it comes to you

A girl was on his lap but all he could focus on was the girl in blue, making her way upstairs. He shifted a little, remembering that this was a house party meaning there was possibly even more people upstairs. The girl sitting on his lap moved to press a light kiss on his cheek but, Chase doesn't feel anything instead he remembers the slap she gave him 2 weeks ago.

He had kissed a girl right in front of her and when he tried to justify his actions, she slapped him. Hard. Jealousy was what she felt and he hoped he wasn't far from the truth. That maybe, just maybe, she could be in love with him too.

Chase couldn't think straight when it came to her. She was on his mind 24/7 and he wouldn't be able to convince himself otherwise.

If she was in the room then his eyes were on her, drawn like a magnet to a piece of steel. He couldn't seem to function without her, his mind spinning when she was around him.

His mind goes back to the first time he kissed her. How soft her lips felt against his, how she tasted like strawberries. But what made his head spin was her whimpers. When he had kissed her, the small sounds she made when he deepened the kiss drove him crazy.

Chase groans, remembering the sound of her whimpers against his lips. The girl on his lap must've thought he made that sound because of her because she giggled, he rolls his eyes discreetly at her.

I know we be so complicated
Lovin' you sometimes drive me crazy
'Cause I can't have what I want and neither can you

She walks back downstairs, laughing with some guy next to her. Chase's jaw tightens at the sight of them but what really makes him tick is when he pulls her onto the dance floor.

The song changes to a slower one, just right for them to dance. She looks at Chase who's watching her intensely but he still has that girl on his lap, her eyes narrow and she looks away from Chase to the guy who's holding her waist, attempting to slow dance with her.

He watches the guy pull her closer to him and glares at them. It's when he leans in to whisper in her ear that finally gets him, Chase curses under his breath before pushing the girl off his lap and onto the couch he was once sitting on.

you don't want me to see nobody else
and I don't want you to see nobody
but you ain't my boyfriend

And I ain't your girlfriend
but you don't want me to touch nobody else

Chase pulls her towards him and her breathing increases as she looks up into his baby blue eyes. Her breath hitches at the amount of intensity in them, he laces their fingers, bringing her out of the shock she was in.

They belonged to each other in a way only they could understand.

One hand on her waist, the other interlaced with hers. The electricity between them strong, her eyes flutter shut when his lips brush against hers but to her disappointment, he doesn't kiss her.

She gasps when she feels his lips pressed against her neck, he drops light kisses on her neck as she bites her lip, eyes shutting when he decides to mark her on the dance floor.

Chase pulling back snaps her out of her daze, "you're mine" he whispers for her to hear. She glares at him "then stay away from those girls" he smirks, knowing he got her riled up but it fades when he realized she had gotten him worked up the same way.

I wanna kiss you (yeah), don't wanna miss you
But I can't be with you 'cause I got issues

He looks from her eyes to her lips, the electricity surging through him pushes him to finally press his lips against hers. She melts into him as he realizes that right there in that moment, he didn't want this feeling to fade.

He didn't want to remember this moment, he wanted to feel like that forever.

He grabbed her hand, pulling her out of the semi-crowded room. They ran until they got to the empty field behind the house, it was late but it wasn't so late.

"I want you" he breathes, cupping her cheeks. "I want you more than anything I've ever wanted in my entire life. Nobody makes me feel the way you do. I want to call you mine properly, none of the untitled mess we're in. I'm in love with you, I'm so fucking in love with you. I don't why it took me so long to see it, I just-"

She cuts off his rambling with a kiss. A long tender kiss that has them feeling butterflies, "I love you, Chase, I've been waiting so long for you to say that" A gentle smile painted on her slightly swollen lips when they pull away from each other.

Chase stares into her eyes in awe, "say it again."

"I love you, Chase. I love you so much." She laughs when he picks up, spinning with her in his arms. They end up on the grass, hands intertwined only to be pulled apart when Chase decides he wants to hold her instead.

With her head on his chest and his arms around her, they stare at the sky, covered in shining stars.

They were finally together.

Finally.
