Chapter Twenty Seven-
After the past few over dramatic days, we all decided we needed to take a break. Sure, we still had tomorrow to face, getting use to people knowing about me and Vic dating, but like Sarah said, they all accepted us already. We wanted to take a break from school, but none of our parents were going to let us do that, especially Vic's parents. They'd never let Mike and Vic off of school without a good reason. And telling them what happened, didn't seem like the best idea in anyones interest.
So, instead, we planned out a weekend get away. With just Alex, Jack B and F, Gabe, Jaime, Tony, Mike, basically everyone but Jeremy and Austin since they already had plans that weekend. Some of the guys girlfriends were going, some weren't. But it was just going to us, having fun. We planned on going downtown, and getting rooms in a hotel and just having a blast all weekend. Of course, Mike and Vic were going to have to come up with some lie as to where they were going, but the rest of us knew we could just ask our parents if we could go downtown with our friends.
And that's how our afternoon went. We all got so busy talking about the get away, planning and stuff, that we almost forgot about all the drama that was going on around us lately. We were going to have a great time this weekend. Best part about it was that it was already Thursday and we planned on going Friday night or Saturday morning. All we had to worry about was getting through tomorrow.
By the time we all left, it was already getting pretty dark. We had left one by one, and now it was only me, Jack, and Alex left over at Vic and Mike's house. But, we were just getting ready to leave. Jack and Alex had to drive me home, so I was saying my final goodnight to Vic right now.
I smiled at him, as he looked down at our intertwined hands, while we were outside on the front porch. "I'll see you tomorrow. And don't worry. Everything will be fine tomorrow. We just have to get through tomorrow and then we can have the time of our lives this weekend, kay?" I said, giving him a smile. He nodded, not looking up from our hands. "Hey," I put my other hand under his chin, making him look up at me. He gave me a small smile. "Don't worry. Just think, you get to kiss me all you want at school now. It'll be great." I told him, smiling cheekily. He chuckled, nodding.
"Mm.. That does sound pretty good." He grinned at me, before he did just that. He kissed me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I was quick to wrap my own around his neck, letting him take control of the kiss. I felt his lips twitch into a smile in the middle of the kiss.
Moments later, he pulled away with a sigh. "Alright, you better get going. I need to think of something to cover up our little getaway before mom and dad get home." He said, an almost sad tone to his voice. I sighed, nodding, and reluctantly pulling my arms away from his neck.
"I'll see you tomorrow, love you!" I said cheekily, before running off to meet Alex and Jack in the car. I heard him chuckle.
"I love you too." I grinned, looking back and waving at him once, before getting into the old car that Alex owned. It was the same car I drove here early. I guess Jack and Alex drive together. Okay, that didn't surprise me much.
"So, finally said I Love Yous huh?" Jack grinned, looking back at me from the front passenger seat. I grinned, nodding. "Aww.. Lexi! Our little boys are all grown up!" Jack gushed, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, fighting back a smile. Alex chuckled next to him.
"You two are so funny." I said, sarcastically, laughing a little. The two of them grinned, almost proudly. "Seriously, when did you two say "I love you"?" I asked curiously. The two looked at each other for a second, before Jack looked back at me again.
"Umm.. Let's see. We got together in middle school, 8th grade to be exact. So, summer before high school. Which was almost... Five months after we started screwing around together." Jack said slowly, thinking it over. I chuckled. "And you and Vic have been together for what? A month? Two at the most?" Jack said teasingly. I rolled my eyes, resisting the urge to flip the weirdo off. Jack chuckled this time.
"Alright you two, we're at Kellin's house." Alex said, his voice showing his amusement. I rolled my eyes, unbuckling my seat belt and saying my goodbyes to the couple. "See you tomorrow Kell!" Alex yelled back to me. I turned around while I was walking, grinned and nodded, before turning back around and walking up to the front porch of my house.
After unlocking the front door and walking in, I heard the sounds of my mom's familiar humming in the kitchen, along with the sounds of pots and pans. I grinned, walking further in the house until I reached the kitchen where my mom was standing over the oven, humming some song I had heard her hum before, but didn't know the name of.
I waited until I was right behind her to say anything to her. "Hey mom, I'm home." I said, laughing when she nearly jumped ten feet in the air. She rolled her eyes, turning around to face me and hitting me playfully with the dish rag in her hand.
"Kellin Quinn Bostwick! You know better then to sneak up MD!" She told me, shaking her head. I chuckled at her.
"So, mom. My friends and I were thinking about going downtown this weekend and just staying down there all weekend, book a hotel, and just having fun. Think I could go?" I asked her, putting in the puppy dog eyes. She looked back at me for a few seconds, her eyes telling me she was contemplating.
Things in the kitchen were silent for a few minutes, while I waited for her response. Finally, "Kellin, you better be on your best behavior while down there. I want you to be 100% responsible. No utterly completely fooling around you hear me?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Quickly, I nodded.
"Yes, yes ma'am! Number one best behavior! Swear!" I told her grinning.
And it was official, this weekend, I was aloud to hang out with my friends down town, and my boyfriend. This was going to be the best weekend ever. I was determined to make it just that.
After talking with my mom a little bit more, I went up to my room, debating on calling Vic. After a few minutes of indecision, I picked up my phone and opened up his contact, "Vic <3 ;)" I smiled, before pressing the call button.
It rang a little, probably 3 or 4 times before he picked up, and when he did, he sounded out of breath. "Hello?" He answered, taking a deep breath.
I raised an eyebrow, even though he couldn't see me. "Vic? Why do you sound so out of breath?" I asked him curiously. For a few seconds he didn't answer, but I could hear his breathing getting back to normal.
"I was down the hall, talking to my parents about this weekend," he paused for a second before he spoke again, filling me with nerves. Please let his parents say yes, please, please.
"Mike and I can go!" He said finally, excitement ringing through his voice. I grinned happily.
"That's awesome Vic! Looks like we maybe sharing a room then!" I told him, in way if letting him know I was going too. A sudden thought occurred to me. "What'd you tell them?"
"I told them Mike had something school related going on downtown, and that'd it save us driving time if we just left the next afternoon." He said casually, though you could almost see the smile on his face.
I grinned. "We, my boyfriend, are going to have the best weekend of our lives!"
