Chapter Twenty Nine-
That day went by fast after that, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in my bed on Saturday morning, turning off my ear shattering alarm. I groaned, not wanting to get up even though it was only eleven in the morning. We were just going downtown, so it wasn't that far of a drive, but still, it was eleven on a Saturday morning. This was just weird. But despite the weirdness of it all, I got up after a couple of minutes and dragged my feet to the bathroom.
My shower took longer then it normally did, so when I finally got out, I was in a bit a rush. Quickly, I ran the brush through my hair, trying to get it done as soon as I could and before Vic and Mike got here to pick me up, but that hope was crushed when I heard someone knock on the door, and my mom answer it. "Kellin! Your boyfriends here!" She yelled up to me, a teasing tone in her voice.
I shook my head at her, but quickly pulled on my cloths, just some black skinny jeans, a random shirt, and some black TOMS. I ran a hand through my hair once, before grabbing my bag that I had packed the night before and walking out of my room.
When I walked downstairs I saw my mom talking with not only Vic, but with Jaime as well. When they noticed me, Vic waved me over. "Hey Kells, we were just talking about what we were going to do tonight." He explained, wrapping an arm around my waist. I raised an eyebrow at my mom, who seemed completely okay with whatever we were doing tonight. Not that I thought we were going to be doing drugs, and if they were, I knew I sure as hell wasn't, but there had to be something my mom was against, unless the two of them kept something from her.
But all she did was smile at me. I looked at Jaime and Vic, who grinned back at me. I shook my head a little before turning back to my mom, who was smiling still. "Have a good time Kellin, and remember, back by seven tomorrow." She told me sternly, her eyes conveying just how serious she was being. I nodded.
"I will, promise," I said, giving her a quick hug before pulling away, "Love you mom! Bye!" I said, before grabbing both Vic and Jaime and pulling them out of the house. They both followed, but were obviously confused by what I had just done.
And when we got in the car, Mike sitting in the back on his phone and Tony sitting next to him starring out the window, "What the hell was that all about?" Jaime asked, as Vic started up the car, beginning to drive away from my house. Mike looked up from his phone, raising an eyebrow at Jaime next to him in confusion while Tony also raised his eyebrow at Jaime.
I shrugged, buckling up in the front seat next to Vic, "Nothing, I just wanted to get going. Seriously." I told them truthfully. Thankfully, nether of them questioned me further on it, so I changed the subject. "So, no offense, but I didn't think you and Tony were riding with us." I told Jaime, looking back at him as Vic pulled out of our neighbor. The two shrugged, and Tony answered, almost surprising me.
"We didn't think we were either, we were gonna ride by ourselves, but my car broke down and Jaime doesn't have one." He explained. I nodded, smiling a little when I looked at Vic, who was grinning, his eyes not once leaving the road though. I knew it must have made him happy to ride with Tony and Jaime. I mean, yeah, I know he was close with all his other friends, but he was closet with Mike, Tony, and Jaime. They were after all bandmates.
And thus, the ride to downtown continued. It wasn't a far drive, maybe twenty or thirty minutes long but the ride itself was definitely fun. Jaime argued with Vic that he should be in charge of the radio for reasons that made no sense, Tony started talking a bit more then he normally did, letting us all know he was in a great mood, and Mike played on his phone, occasionally stopping and bugging Vic every now and then.
It was only fifteen minutes later did I realize something. "Hey Jaime, Mike, Tony, where's Erin, Alysha, and Jessica?" I asked the three of them curiously.
"Oh, well, they, meaning all of the girlfriends, decided it'd be fun if they all road together, hell tI think they even rented a van so they could all ride together. Then everyone else just rode in separate cars." Jaime explained, shrugging. I nodded, leaning back in my chair. I guess I wasn't that surprised. I did hear Jessica and Sarah talking about how they wanted to hang out more, and, spending thirty minutes in a car alone together, did seem like one way to do just that, since this weekend, the guys were probably going to want to hang out with their girlfriends, just as much as their friends.
About another fifteen minutes later, we were pulling into a hotel downtown. Jaime, Mike, and Tony were the first to get out, rushing out of the car. But before Vic could get out, I grabbed his hand, stopping him. He raised an eyebrow at me, but didn't get out. I smiled innocently, before leaning in and pressing my lips against his. He was surprised by the kiss, but almost immediately he leaned into it, letting himself get lost in my touch. I smiled, pulling away a few seconds later.
"I didn't get my hello kiss." I told him shrugging my shoulders, and getting out of the car, leaving him by himself. But a few minutes later he was out of the car, grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers together. I smiled at him, as we walked into the hotel.
A few minutes later, we all had it figured out, and we all started our days in different ways.
