U.A Entrance Exams II

The entrance exam had a low passing rate, that much was common amongst the examinees. Unless you were truly gifted, or skilled with your quirk, you wouldn't be here taking this exam now.

But for Rimuru, who was an outlander, a very powerful one at that. This exam was nothing. However Rimuru thought nothing of it, he didn't take it for granted that the exam was simple and easy for him.

As he observes the other students struggle to get points, he wonders.

These guys are motivated to the point of shock. I mean, heroes are a big deal in this society, so they'd naturally be fired up about this. Although like all things, there were exceptions.

Rimuru caught glimpses of students giving up or having a face that represented—"I can't do this... it's impossible."

Rimuru obviously felt bad, but at the same time, he was relieved. At least that person realized the reality that awaited them.

"Ahahaha, Rimuru, your powers are stronger than I thought! Thank you!" exclaimed Monoma.

On the other side, some people effortlessly decimated the robots.

"Don't be too happy, who knows if I'd let you copy them next time," replied Rimuru.

<<Silly human, if I weren't here his body would've exploded by now. He's not properly balancing between the enhancement to his physical body and the output of the magic he's using.>>

I-Is that so? Well, it's good that you were here, Ciel!

<<Yes!!!>>

A few minutes passed by, and the exam seemed to be coming to an end. The number of robots was significantly less than before. There would be no point in getting any more points, as it would hardly make a difference now.

When I turned around, I could hear someone scream something.

"Oh god... run! There's no way we can fight against t-that!"

Ah—

"Rimuru! Come here!"

I was dragged by Monoma, who seemed to be running away.

"Hey, wait—"

"There's no time to lose, Rimuru! Either we get crushed, or run away."

Well... he does have a point.

"S-someone, please help!"

Monoma and I heard the scream, one that was pleading for immediate help. I was going to forcefully make Monoma let go of my hand to check, but it seems it was unnecessary.

"...keep running," says Monoma as he runs back.

Without waiting for me to respond, he immediately leaves and goes in the direction of the voice.

Shit, what am I thinking...

Monoma smiles wryly, confused about his current action.

I know better than this, yet, why am I running towards that big-ass robot?! Plus, I just suddenly left Rimuru, not even awaiting her response. 

"Somone... please... my friend is trapped inside!"

Monoma finally locates the sources of the screams for help. When he arrived, he immediately tried to ask questions.

"How far in is he trapped inside?"

"I don't know!" 

"Hey, calm down. Otherwise, you're gonna send me panicking soon."
