"You can't be serious?! Diablo! What happened to Rimuru-sama?!" (Benimaru)
The minute after Rimuru disappeared, Diablo and Shion retreated back to Tempest as soon as possible. Both Shion and Diablo had unpleasant expressions all over their faces.
Mizari who was still on the other side of the gate had no idea what had happened. As soon as Diablo crossed the gate, he immediately showed his hostility.
"What the fuck did you do to Rimuru-sama?" (Diablo)
"—?! I don't know what you're talking about." (Mizari)
Diablo was calm, but his anger worsened as dangerous amounts of Aura continuously leaked from him. "Don't screw with me! What did you do to Rimuru-sama! Where is he?!"
"W-wait, calm down Diablo! What's going on?" (Ramiris)
Ramiris who had been behind Rimuru and co is confused at Diablo's sudden anger.
Although unwilling, Diablo responded to Ramiris. "Rimuru-sama suddenly disappeared before our very eyes the moment we crossed that gate. I will ask you again, Primordial Green, what did you do?"
"Lord Rimuru's presence... I can't feel it, even if I try my hardest. It's like he's not in this world." (Shion)
"What..." (Ramiris)
Shion wasn't the only one that felt like this. Soon enough, Rimuru's closest subordinates immediately rushed here, the last location where they knew Rimuru was.
Benimaru was the first to come in, screaming in the process, "Rimuru-sama! What happened, why can't I sense him?!"
Followed up by Adalman, Kumara, Zegion, Apito, and the demoness Trio. Many more were bound to come since every last subject of Rimuru had also experienced the feeling of their connection with their Lord snapping in half.
"This is getting out of hand... what do I d-do." (Ramiris)
"Diablo! Explain what's going on! Why can't we sense Rimuru-sama?!" (Zegion)
Without turning to look at the people who had gathered, Diablo repeated his words. "Rimuru-sama disappeared the moment we crossed that gate. I am currently questioning Mizari, the one who summoned that very gate."
Diablo looked ready to resort to violence, while Mizari was just confused and afraid. Yes, Mizari was afraid.
Diablo alone couldn't have been worse, but now with multiple Awakened Demon Lord-level individuals gradually focusing their malice on her, anyone would naturally feel fear.
"Wait, wait! Don't you think you're being a little too hasty! Rimuru could have just gone somewhere, y-you know..." (Ramiris)
Ramiris was about to cry as Diablo focused his attention on her.
"I have absolute confidence of knowing where our Lord is, but now that you say so..." Diablo's anger seemed to have gone down a little bit. "If Rimuru-sama wanted to hide from us, none of us would be able to find him."
Diablo began to sink in his thoughts.
But the others weren't convinced.
"I don't understand, Rimuru-sama was headed for Walpurgis, why would he disappear..." (Shuna)
"Kuahahahaha! What's got you all so uptight? Hmm? Oi oi, this place is a mess!" (Veldora)
Veldora, one of Rimuru's closest friends, showed up out of nowhere. But that wasn't what caught them off-guard, but because he had a relaxed attitude almost as if he doesn't know what had happened to Rimuru.
"Geh, Ramiris, care to explain what happened here?" (Veldora)
"Eh? You're asking me?" Ramiris found it difficult to tell Veldora what the situation was, severely wanting to avoid making Veldora angry.
Ramiris was sweating, "W-well you s-see, R-Rimuru kind of..."
"Kind of what?" (Veldora)
Ramiris could feel her heart stop. "R-Rimuru disappeared, no one can sense him... Even I can't..."
"Hoo...?" Veldora frowned his eyes, which in turn made everyone brace for what was about to happen.
But—
"I can sense Rimuru though? It looks like he's in a different world— Wait. That guy! HE WENT TO A DIFFERENT WORLD?! WITHOUT TELLING ME!?" (Veldora)
Veldora had an outburst, just as they expected. But not for the reason they expected.
"What?!" was everyone's collective response.
"Kufufufu... I see, I get it now. It would appear that our master has been targeted." (Diablo)
Diablo made his own conclusions after giving much effort and time to figuring out what had happened. He accelerated his thoughts to the max, after all.
"Diablo, could you care to elaborate?" (Benimaru)
"Sure." Before explaining, Diablo came to Mizari to offer his utmost apologies. "Now then, I did sense something odd during our transfer to the Northern continent using this gate. I had thought that was just the barrier's resistance, but when we got there the barrier was already broken."
"The barrier was broken?! I have a hard time believing that Velzard made it after all." (Ramiris)
"Precisely. If it wasn't the barrier, then what could it have been? Truth be told, even I am impressed by the level of planning behind this attack. They used an [Spacetime] attributed attack on Rimuru-sama... how vexing." (Diablo)
Shuna was quick to catch on, "—wait, so are you saying that during that small fragment of time you guys were in the space linked from here to there, something attacked Lord Rimuru?"
Diablo's devilish smile deepened, "Precisely. Rimuru-sama is not in this world, that is why cannot feel his presence as confident as we are in that."
"But what if Rimuru-sama's in danger? Shouldn't we help him?" (Adalman)
"Yeah, Diablo. Do you have a way to reach our master?" (Carrera)
"Kufufufu, I do not. But Veldora-sama might have a way." (Diablo)
Hearing Diablo's words, Veldora snapped back to reality. "Ohhh! That's right! I can just come to him!"
Diablo panicked for a moment as Veldora immediately wanted to go to where Rimuru was. "Veldora-sama, please wait a moment. Is it possible for you to bring along another person?"
"I think I can? It will be difficult, things might go wrong." (Veldora)
"I see..." Diablo's smile deepened. "Then, who wants to come with?"

So you guys came here of your own free will?! Why would you do that for god's sake!
Once I had a skim through Adalman's memories, some parts of his memories showed what happened after I had disappeared. It seemed like Diablo was extremely pissed the whole time I was viewing his memory.
But anything after them finding out Veldora could come to me was a blur. How cliche.
According to Ciel, even she doesn't entirely know who came with Veldora. Adalman's memories had been tampered with, which isn't a good sign.
It was likely that "Unknown" had also targeted them when they attempted to come to me. I could only assume the worse of the worse.
I look at the unconscious Adalman, "Adalman... what in the world happened during your transfer." (Rimuru)
For now, I put Adalman inside [Imaginary Space] where Ciel could continue her analysis on him. My next priority was to make sure everyone was safe...
"Asui-san! Do you know where we are?!" (Mineta)
"Call me Tsu. It looks like we're at the water section of the USJ. They separated us." (Tsuyu)
