The Gate of hell opened and released thousands of Demons toward U.A.
Rimuru never told All Might the number of Demons attacking the U.A. Academy for a reason. He wanted to make All Might focus on whatever plans to take a back route and attack U.A. from there.
"Still, to think this many Demons would simultaneously attack... it doesn't seem like a coincidence."
I hope that Testarossa and the girls aren't among the Demons trying to attack... That'd be hell on earth, even with me being here.
Something tells me Diablo is aware of this situation and is just sitting back and watching this happen... I feel a powerful sense of Deja Vu.
Whatever the case may be, I have to stay focused on the predicament at hand. How do I fight off thousands of Demons with some who can tear through any school-wide barrier I make?
≪If we create an open barrier that consumes their energy continuously, their numbers should lose their advantage.≫
Interesting idea, that should fend off a good few of their numbers.
≪Incidentally, you can just use Azathoth to clear their numbers en masse.≫
...I see your extreme ways have not disappeared. Fine, I don't want to risk the people getting harmed if the barrier takes too long to zap their strengths. This should also be a warning to the stronger individuals able to resist Azathoth's power.
The approaching Demons were quite the sight to see. It was as if a substantial Demonic looking raven was flying toward the school. I bet social media outlets have already spread the word about that horrendously evil-looking formation.
I could feel the panic coming from below. Civilians and heroes alike were all distracted by the oncoming Demons. They didn't know they were demons, but ignorance is sometimes a blessing.
"I should probably put up the barrier just in case."
I feel I shouldn't slack off in my preparations, so I'll put up the barrier Ciel suggested anyway.
"Domain Expansion: The World of a Thousand Blooming Changes, surround me and destroy {Demons} that traverse my territory."
In a fraction of a second, Demons who were within a 1000-kilometer diameter started to lose their forms and began turning to ash—
—or so how the public saw the disaster occurring above their heads.
Only their bodies were damaged.
Their souls did not suffer a single scratch. Demons without flesh-made bodies were disappearing one after the other. Their numbers were reduced significantly, and as a result, only the strong remained.
"The barrier was overkill, I think if I use Azathoth, every last bit of these guys would die..."
I was exasperated at the effectiveness of the barrier. The visual effects alone were worth an Oscar in my eyes. Ciel did something quite flashy here... I don't think I can get back to being a student anymore after this.
≪That's okay master, being a teacher would benefit us more.≫
Teacher you say?! Are they going to turn me into a teacher?!
≪That's the reality of the situation, master. Either you're going to blend in in society and become a teacher, or become a curious case of Alien Terminology.≫
That sucks! I don't want all that attention.
≪However, there is one possible option to avoid both of those situations.≫
Hmm? What could that be? When I asked that question, I felt like Ciel began to grin as if she was waiting for that question.
The following battle would shock the world as they bore witness to powers that were far stronger than anything they'd ever seen. Some would point out in the future that not even All Might could have stopped tens of thousands of demonic-looking individuals (Demons).

The demons wondered in fear.
"W-What's going on?!" they trembled, they were fearful. "Why are all of you losing your forms?! What's happening!?"
The stronger ones could resist the barrier, albeit they were losing magicules. The flashy barrier that covered a ridiculously wide area eliminated the weakest demons as soon as they entered. Archdemons and the stronger Greater Demons were the only ones that remained intact after being exposed to the death-bringing barrier.
The Archdemons being as prideful as their predecessors and creators did not turn to look back at the Demons who were being wiped out. All they cared about was completing the task they were assigned, or else their souls are destroyed by that person.
The survivors were fast.
They moved swiftly and approached the 500-kilometer mark. The school was visible to them now. The demons grinned and began chanting magic. "This is easy! There's no powerful lifeform here, it's just a magicule depleting barrier!"
"I bet the caster is too weak to face us and our numbers!"
"Guys, guys, leave the girls to me. I won't be too rough."
The demons lacked the sharpness to detect Rimuru. They happily clattered and talked about their victory as if they'd already won. But that was exactly why they were merely young Archdemons or powerful Greater Demons.
This mistake cost them their lives.
"Wha—"
One by one, the demons were sucked into a blue sphere. They were unable to resist the gravitational pull that sucked them toward the spherical object. 10, 20, 50, 120, almost immediately about 1000 demons were sucked into the sphere.
When enough demons were caught, it began covering them like how a spider would cover its webs on its prey. The screams of the demons were muffled out and eradicated because the blue sphere had instantly gobbled them up.
Instead of shrinking, the sphere began changing shape, maintaining its formidable size and growing limbs. It began to form the shape of a dragon. Scales began to grow forming its armor, and its claws, fangs, and wings formed soon after.
"W-What is that?!"
The demons stopped in their tracks.
The now newly formed Dragon locked its eyes on the demons. They were prey to its eyes. The dragon let out a screeching roar. With just that intimidating roar alone, half of the remaining demons that survived the barrier vanished.
"A-Are we facing a True Dragon!?"
"What is this monstrosity doing here?!"
Demons knew fear, but they only displayed it to their Primordial counterparts. The Dragon that blocked the demon's way began opening its mouth. In less than a second, another half of their forces were wiped out completely.
The Archdemon that led the army could barely see the attacks. But he saw enough to know there was no chance of winning, "F-Fall back! This isn't what we came here for!"
But the demons didn't listen.
They were already trying to attack the Dragon that took out 75% of their remaining forces in two attacks. Once again, demons knew no fear and loved to challenge the strong. Only those who've seen true power before can realize how hopeless it was.
"D-Damn it! I didn't sign up for this!" The Archdemon tried to run away, but there was another being waiting by its escape route.
His heart was pierced in an instant. A large beetle's horn easily pierced his body.
"Don't think you can run away from My Lord." The beetle instantly moved away from the battlefield after killing the Archdemon.
The Dragon's attacks were savage. It didn't cause much destruction and only targeted the demons approaching with the intent to kill. The precision of its fiery breaths struck as a beautiful scenery from below.
A day after this incident, the people of Japan would remember this day as the peaceful yet chaotic 'Descent of the Gods'.
