Later that night

Meigui pov

I woke suddenly to a chill breeze, took a sharp breath, and slowly sat up, looking around.

'Where did that sudden breeze come from?' I thought, confused. I noticed my window was slightly open, which should have been impossible. I rubbed the tiredness from my eyes and slowly stood up to investigate the open window.

'Why is my window suddenly open? I'm certain Ru Shi sealed it before she left. It was sealed from the inside, so it doesn't make sense that it's open now'. I thought, feeling confused. I looked around for the seal but didn't see it anywhere on the floor, which confused me even more. Slowly, I opened the window and looked outside, but I didn't see or hear anyone in the area.

"Well, that was weird". I mumbled to myself as I was about to close the window. However, something caught my eye, and as I looked, I slightly gasped at what I saw. I froze in surprise and awe.

'Is that- Will-O-the-Wisp!? But it's-it's red! Aren't they supposed to be blue and pure? How strange!'. I thought in awe, I suddenly heard a gentle whisper and felt a cold breeze, making me shiver. I gripped the window ledge and bit my lip, lost in thought.

'Should I follow it? There are many red flags, but my body is telling me to follow them, what should I do?'. I thought with furrowed eyebrows, it began to whisper again in an almost echoey tone. In an instant, I made up my mind and climbed out of the window, shutting it behind me. I looked back at it.

'I hope I don't regret this, I probably will but it's bugging me and can't ignore it'. I thought worriedly before I slowly walked to it, still a bit unsure on why it's here. I slowly reached for it, but it disappeared and reappeared again, venturing further into the dark forest, I took a deep breath and pressed on, delving deeper into its depths. The journey was challenging due to the forest's density; I found myself climbing over fallen trees and crossing small streams and ponds.

remembering the path allowed me to navigate more effectively in the daylight. As I spotted a clearing ahead, I sighed in relief. My night clothes were tattered and soiled, and my skin bore minor cuts from the branches. Although grateful for an escape, my relief was fleeting when I stumbled over a root and let out a yelp as I fell.

"Ow! where did that stupid root come from!". I hiss as I sat up and saw that I cut my hand, so it was bleeding, I then paid no mind to it, more interested on why I was led here.

"Alright, I followed you here, what do you want!?". I called out as I got up and held my bleeding hand to my chest as I stepped out more into the clearing.

"Hello!? answer me! you woke me up and lead me here! what do you want from me!?". I called out again, I then noticed the rock pillars with strange writings on them in a circle.
