"You will have a month of rest before finishing the rest of the studies-".
As the elder concluded the final class, I reflected on the months since Wei Ying's incident, noting how it brought us closer, even without considering the kiss. Wei Ying began spending more time with me, breaking rules to meet after hours. We'd share Emperor's Smile on a rooftop, chatting about trivial matters. Learning that I had broken numerous Gusu rules undetected, he expressed surprise and a hint of regret for not joining me in his own misadventures. Lan Zhan, observing Wei Ying's increasingly bold and flirtatious public behavior towards me since our kiss, grew to dislike him even more.
"Is Father coming to decide if we stay or not?". Li asked in a low tone.
"I'm not sure, we'll talk after class". I said, she nodded before paying attention to the Elder,Li has started to manage her temper better and has even shown more kindness towards Jiang Cheng following a serious conversation I had with her about their relationship, which I found concerning. It seemed to be a one-sided, unhealthy dynamic. I understand Jiang Cheng's desire to be close to her and spend time together, but she often misinterprets his words as offensive and has hurt his feelings on several occasions. This upset me, so I addressed the issue with her directly and at length.
"That is all; class is dismissed!". She said, and we all stood up and bowed.
"Yes, ma'am!" We said before she left to handle other business that I was the first one to leave with Li and Xinga.
"Excuse me, Sister Meigui!". Someone called, I looked behind me and saw a group of 6 girls from different sects, they looked a bit nervous, but all quite beautiful.
"Yes? Can I help you with something?". I asked calmly, they whispered amongst each other and even lightly pushed each other forward.
"Shijie has places to be, so kindly and state your business". Xinga said, they managed to push one girl forward from the Jin sect and ushered her to speak.
"U-Uh, Sister Meigui-".
"Yes?". I asked.
"W-We were wondering something a-and we don't want to disrespect you o-or anything-".
"Then don't ask-". I raised my hand and Li stopped talking.
"Go on, ask your question". I said as I put my hand down, she gulped nervously.
"A-A-Are you in a-a relationship with anyone!". She asked boldly her face red, and my eyes widened.
'No fuckin way! Are they all gay!?'. I thought in shock, I cleared my throat.
"Apologies, ladies, but I'm presently committed to a serious relationship". I said apologetically, they all had sad and defeated looks on their faces, one however had a determined look.
"It's a boy!?". She asked.
"Y-Yes?". I asked more questionably.
"What's his name!?". She asked.
"First off, what's yours?". I asked plainly.
"Jin Baozhai!". She said.
"Nice name, I have to go now, goodbye". I said with a quick bow before I quickly turned and walked away.
"Wait! You didn't tell us his name!". She said loudly, I ignored her as we kept walking.
"That was sudden, good move there Shijie". Li said in humor, I shook my head.
