Part 106

Nathan's POV

Peanut tiptoed her way into the media room where we were watching a movie. "Whatcha doing Honey?" She said quietly.

"Peanut! We were just waiting for you to get done with your pool game, then we wanted to know of you want to go outside and throw the football around with us. We aren't playing football or anything, just throwing it."

"Yes Aggele, then we can come back in and watch some football together before lunch is ready."

"Ok, if that is what you want to do, let's do it."

Silas and I stood up. Peanut had her finger over her mouth in a shhh motion. She pointed at North. He was sound asleep on the couch. We walked past the others in the living room. "Silas, Peanut and I are going to go outside and throw the football. If you guys want to join us you are welcome to."

"Thank you Nathan, but we will let the three of you go play together right now." Mr. B spoke with some authority. He must be telling the others to let us have time alone with her.

We grabbed the football from next to the back door and headed out to the yard. We had already decided we should stand so the ball won't hit the house if Sang throws it crazy. Silas stood at one end of the yard and Peanut and I stood on the other.

"Let me see how you throw first."

She took the ball and threw it. It didn't even go half the distance to Silas. Peanut was pushing the ball rather than throwing it. I ran to go get it and Silas closed the distance.

"Try again, but this time pull the football back by your ear, point your other hand in the direction you want the ball to go and throw it."

She tried again. This time it made it to Silas, but he had moved up for her. The ball was wobbly in the air and Silas had to move to the side since it didn't go right to him.

Silas threw it back to me. Sang's jaw was dropped open. I touched her chin, "catching flies again Peanut."

"It came to you so hard and fast. I don't think I could ever catch it."

"Let's make sure your fingers are on the football laces correctly." She held the football and with her hand all the way open. her fingers just didn't fit around the football right. I chuckled, she has child size hands. "Well, since we cannot do anything about your hands being too small for the football, let's just have you hold it here." I repositioned her fingers so they were slightly on the laces. "Throw it again."

She threw the ball and it went better to Silas but has no speed behind it. Silas threw it back to me. "Doing good Peanut. You want to throw it back and forth with Silas for a bit?"

"I don't know if I can catch what he is throwing without getting hit by the ball."

"Throw it to him again. He won't hurt you." She threw it to Silas. I scoot behind her putting my hands on her hands. "I'll help her catch it Silas." He threw it much softer and I helped her close her hands around it so she caught it and cradled it into her body.

"Good job Peanut!"

"Thank you." She threw it back to Silas. This time I let her catch it herself. Her hands missed it and it hit her in the chest.

"AGGELE! Shit!" Silas ran to us.

"Peanut? Are you ok?"she was holding her chest.

"Give me a moment. I think you deflated my boob." I laughed because she was cracking a joke.

Silas looked worried. Then he got a mischievous glint in his eyes. He crouched down pulling her into his chest. "Do you want me to kiss it better Aggele?"

She playfully hit his chest. The back door opened. Doc stepped out. "Is everything ok? It looks like you are hovering over a hurt Sang."

"I'm good. I just needed a moment." Sang told him. He went back inside.

"I like throwing the ball, but maybe you guys should catch it for me." We both laughed, at least we wouldn't get our asses kicked by the others this afternoon.

This time Silas helped Sang throw the ball and I caught what she threw. She was doing fairly well. But I only threw to Silas.

After about 10 minutes Peanut said her arm was sore but she wanted to watch us really throw the ball. We backed all the way apart and threw the ball the way we know how. It was spiraling beautifully. We were both in good form and I would say we were throwing at about 50-55 miles per hour. Sang sat in a chair in between us and I could see that she was watching every muscle movement we made. It was arousing to have her watch me like that.

"Silas?" Sang asked. "Are you sad to not be spending the day today with your Dad?"

"No Aggele! I would be doing emergency plumbing work and not having a special meal. I wouldn't be here with you. I don't want to spend another Thanksgiving without you again."

"You don't even need to ask me that Peanut." I began as she turned to look at me. "I always hated Thanksgiving at home. It was never right for my father or he wasn't around and I was crashing Kota's family gathering. You are where I want to be, now and forever."

She got tears in her eyes. I think it is happy tears but I'm not sure. "Aggele, did we say something wrong?"

"No, you two said everything right. These are happy tears." She wiped the tears away from her face. We both moved at once to hug her close and ended up squishing her in a Sang sandwich. She was giggling again. Phew! I don't do well with a crying Sang.
