Hannah, Josie, and I ran out of the exhibit to see what the commotion was. Onyx floated behind us.

My eyes darted around the area until I found the source of the noise: the pirates.

The pirates fired cannonballs. Cannonballs. Where the HELL did they get those?

You know what, I'm not even gonna worry about that.

I sprinted up to Black Bart. "WHAT are you guys doing?" The pirate laughed. "What does it look like, lassy? We're conquering the museum!" I don't even notice the others were behind me until Hannah spoke.

"Times are different. We don't-"

I smacked her in the ribs. "Ow. What was that for?" She groaned.

I gave her a look and pulled her aside. "Are you FORGETTING the plan? We have to act like pirates still exist. Well, they might actually, but that's not the point! Stick. To. The. Plan."

Hannah spread her hands. "Alright alright, sorry. But how are we gonna get out of here without the pirates or our class noticing?"

"We'll have to go out the emergency exit."

Hannah looked at me like I was the dumb one. "Don't you think the alarms are gonna go off?"

I smirked. "Follow my lead."

My group and I made our way to the emergency exit. As if on cue, a cannonball fired.

We raced through the exit. Well, me Josie and Hannah did.

Onyx floated through the door. Josie looked to me and Onyx.

"Where to, ladies?"

I grinned. "To the store!"

We made it to the nearest party store and I went up to the store clerk.

"Excuse me. Where are the pirate things?"

"Right on aisle 6!" The clerk said. I flashed a smile at him and the four of us made our way to the pirate aisle.

The pirate section was a MESS. Pirate hats were everywhere. Eyepatches all around.
I looked over to the outfits, and it was somewhat organized. I picked out a women's pirate costume. It looked real enough to me. It might fool the pirates. Josie and Hannah chose their outfits. They were very similar to mine . We chose our hats and other accessories.

We didn't want to overdo it, or else we'd never pass as pirates. Josie got a peg leg and Hannah got a fake parrot.

I got an eyepatch. I also picked up some gold paint. The others gave me a strange look.

"I'll tell you guys later. Let's pay for the stuff."

We walked up to the cash register and paid for our stuff. Then, we made our way back to the museum.
