Josie, Hannah, and I followed Kendra to the graveyard.

Josie and Hannah were rolling the tube with the pirates and the dead bodies inside, thumping against the glass. We can do this.

Totally. I'll be human after this. No worries. I trust in myself and my group to turn me back into a human.

I floated over to Kendra. "We can do this, right? I mean this whole day so far has been a success."

She nodded. "Yeah, for sure. You won't be a spirit any longer."

We finally arrived at the graveyard. We stopped at an open area of grass. "Y'all should bury the dead bodies too," Hannah mentioned. "You know, because there's no need to keep them, right? And they're gross."

We all nodded in agreement until Josie said, "Wait... you said 'y'all', not 'we.' You're helping us, aren't you?"

Hannah scrunched her nose. "No way! It'll get me all dirty."

I rolled my eyes. "My God, Hannah; you're a volleyball player! You play in the sand!"

She tightened her lips. "It's not the same."

Kendra looked around. "Wait. We don't have any shovels, not even one."

And just right then, a loud popping noise was heard and a black aura flashed to the left of me.

I twisted around and saw two shovels on the wet grass. I widened my eyes. Magic.

I have to admit, my hopes got really high when I saw them. I mean, that's GOT to be a sign that we're on the right track!

Kendra and Josie grabbed the shovels and got to digging. Hannah stayed far away, crossing her arms and scowling at her now wet shoes.

I hovered around the two girls working, saying encouraging things like, "You got this! Keep working! Think of me and my horrible state right now!!"

After hours of waiting, Kendra and Josie finally finished the hole. Josie threw down her shovel. "Whew! That was tiring," she said, clearly very sore.

Kendra nodded her head but didn't say anything, probably catching her breath. We all rolled the tube into the hole.

It made a large clunking noise. The pirates and corpses bumped against the glass.

As soon as they recovered their senses, the pirates scowled up at us.

I laughed. "Goodbye, pirates!" I said.
Kendra and Josie covered up the hole with the dirt they dug up from earlier. Their shovels made funny noises when it touched the dirt. Split. Splat. Split. Splat.
But my thoughts were louder.

What if it doesn't work? What'll happen if I stay a spirit? I mean it won't be that bad but I'd like to be human again. Oh no...

I was starting to lose hope again but as Josie put the last shovelful of dirt on top of the filled up hole, the ground started rumbling.

Everyone looked around in confusion. And then, I stared to feel dizzy.

REALLY dizzy. "Guys..." I tried to say to my group but I bet it just came out as "Guadsfnm..."

And before Kendra, Josie, or Hannah could realize what was happening, I slowly collapsed.
