Chapter 40

I could tell he was in so much pain by how his body was trembling, but he still could smile. The thought of our daughter gave him enough strength to smile through his pain. I tried giving him a smile, but as soon as I did I felt the needle dig into my skin. "Come here lil mama let me whisper in your ear." Yoongi said after leaning closer to my ear. I let out a slight giggle as I felt Jin stop. "Yoongi out of all the things you could have said why did you say that?" He asks I'm guessing he popped his head up from behind my back as Yoongi started laughing. "I made her laugh didn't I?" Yoongi replied. "Well I guess you did." He said with a chuckle then went back to stitching me up. "How did you find me?" I ask trying to distract myself from the pain. "Well that's where Wonho came in to play. When I went to give him food I told him what happened to you and Yoongi. He said he could help us find you since Lay had changed locations. While Yoongi was recovering he helped us come up with a plan." He explains. "I wasn't even supposed to go since I wasn't healed enough, but I couldn't just lay in bed." Yoongi blurts out. "We really couldn't get him to stay no matter what we tried he insisted to go. He even helped after saying he was just going to stay in the car." He says. "So did Wonho go with you or did he stay here? I don't remember seeing his in the car, but I also wasn't really paying attention either." I ask as I flinch at Jin starting to stitch the bigger gash on my back. "Yea he was there he was across from Jimin on another building turns out he's as good of a shot as Jimin. Even though we had them I'm glad we didn't have to use them." Jin says with a sigh. "Why?" I ask. "Well if they had to intervene then that would mean things were getting out of our control. Plus with Jimin he loses his temper sometimes, and with everything that's happened the last few months he most likely would have." Jin says with concern in his tone then quickly shakes his head. "When he loses his temper like that its hard for him to take back control over himself. He'll pretty much go on an endless killing spree. There was one time while back when he had to help and we ended up having to knock him out because he was trying to kill us also." Yoongi adds.

"Alright all I have left is the smaller ones." Jin says. I let out a sigh of relief knowing it would be over soon. "So what's going to happen with Wonho now that he's help us?" I ask. "Well he not in the basement anymore, but we are still going to keep a close eye on him." Jin replies. "Oh, so you don't trust him after saving me?" I ask. "To an extent we did kill his old boss plus he was one of the ones who was trying to get you in the first place." He says finishing up one of the smaller gashes on my back. "True, but I really don't think he will try anything, but what I am scared of is the rest of Lay's men. What are we going to do if they try to attack us?" I ask shortly after Yoongi puts his hand on my face. "They won't at least not right now, so don't worry about it." He said gently rubbing my check with his thumb. "No I'm really worried about it. It would make complete since that they would attack soon since everyone except for Jimin, Hobi and Wonho has injuries. Did you think I wouldn't have noticed blood seeping through the shoulder of your jacket Jin, or that Jungkook had blood all over his mouth not to mention he was limping with blood running down his leg?" I said before getting cut off by Jin about to say something. "That's only two of you Namjoon and Tae were both pretty beaten up even though they were walking it looked like with any second they wouldn't have collapsed to the ground." I say before Jin had a chance to say anything to me. Even though he was trying to hide it i could see the doubt in Yoongi's words. "Look we might be injured, but we can still fight. Even with that said we have escape roots not to mention traps. With a touch of a button this house is completely safe from intruders." He said trying to sound reassuring, but it really didn't settle my mind. "I promise on my life nothing will happen like that again to you or your daughter." Jin said with full confidence. "Hes right nothing like that will happen again. That's why we will be staying here for a while since they know where the other house is. Oh and don't worry about a nursery the guys already set one up here." Yoongi says then gets cut off. "Yea we might have gotten a bit anxious about you missing." Jin says now standing where I can see him. During the time we started talking about Lay's men and now he had finished stitching me up. I didn't know how to respond everything that's happened had happened so fast its hard to wrap my head around everything. I looked over to the man badly injured because of me laying next to me then up to the man standing in front of the bed. Everything I had felt came flooding in all at once and I broke. I broke into a flood of tears in front of them. I covered my face in my elbow I couldn't say anything I just cried. I felt Yoongi's hand press down on the back of my head pulling closer to him. "Don't cry love." He says before kissing the top of my head. "I'll just leave you two for a minute. I'll be waiting outside the door just yell at me when you're ready for me to come back in." Jin says as he makes his way to the door lightly closing it behind him.

"Come here Y/n. Lay on my chest." He says as he trying to pull me closer. "But your wounds." I say hesitantly. "Don't worry about that. I could care less about my wounds your way more important. You've been through a lot this past week. I need to make sure you're alright before I need to worry about myself. I let you down Y/n by not being able to protect you when I needed to. I'm the reason why you were missing for so long. I'm the reason why you are injured. It's all my fault. I'm very sorry y/n." Yoongi says i could hear the shakiness of his voice which told me he was holding back his tears. "Yoongi it wasn't your fault. It's not like we knew this was going to happen, so we weren't prepared. Even if we were awake when they came into the house what would we have done? Nothing we had nothing in that house to protect ourselves. Nothing that has happened is your fault, and I'll never once believe it is your fault, so please for me don't blame yourself." I say lightly placing the weight of my head onto his chest. I could hear his pained breaths, so i didn't completely put my head on him. That didn't last long as he pressed my head down onto him. "I said to lay your head on my chest didn't I?" He says I could hear the pain in his voice even though he was trying to sound playful. "Still I don't want to hurt you either." I reply back. "I'm fine don't worry about me." He says throwing his arm behind his head. "But I do need to worry about you that will be my job as your wife wouldn't it?" I ask with a slight giggle. "You know what babe I don't understand what I did to make you fall in love with me, but whatever it is I never want to change it. You are the best thing that has ever walked into my life." He said running his fingers through my hair. The warmth of his body mixed with the sweet words and gestures made a warm feeling radiate through my body as I slowly stopped crying. "Yoongi I love you so much. If it wasn't for you I'd still be with Lay. In fact before you came to get me I had accepted my fate to be with him. I really hated the thought of it, but I really didn't think anyone wanted me. I mean my own mother and father doesn't even want me anymore. Who else would want me other then Lay. When you came to get me I wasn't sure if I should trust you, but something just told me to go with you. I grateful I did." I say as I carefully snuggle my head into his neck. "Y/n I Love you too. I really don't know what I'd do without you." He says but before I can answer we hear a knock on the door. "Don't forget I still have to care for Yoongi's wounds." I heard Jin yell from outside of the room. "You need to go." I say as I move my head off of him. "I know, but I don't want to leave you. I feel like if I do I'll lose you." He says as he tries to pull me back to him. "Babe you're not going to lose me now go get those wounds taken care of they are really bad. I'll still be here when you get back." I say pulling against him. "I'm ready." Yoongi groans out load enough for Jin to hear. It didn't take long for Jin to bust through the door. "I understand that she is upset Yoongi, but you still have very bad wounds that you opened that I have to take care of." Jin says placing his hand on his hip. "Yea yea." Yoongi says as he painfully sat up. Jin helped him up placing him shoulder under Yoongi's and soon they were out the door. I laid there on my side looking at the wall as my mind raced around everything that had happened.

(Yoongi's POV)

Once we got into the other room Jin helped me lay down. I didn't really want to be that far away from her even though it really wasn't that far. I just know she went though some things there, and the thought that she was alone with no one to protect her got to me. I know Jin has Wonho and Hoseok checking on her, but I don't like that I'm not in there with her. I'm the one that's supposed to help her not them.  "I'm going to help take your shirt off." Jin says making me groan a bit knowing moving my shoulder will be painful. Slowly we were able to peel the cloth off the wound which not only got opened, but grew bigger from all the movement. "Luckily you didn't get any new injuries, but you did a number to the old ones. This is why we didn't want you go with us." Jin said shaking his head. "Now you know with Y/n in danger I couldn't just lay around hoping everything would turn out ok. She is going to be my wife someday, so I need to do everything in my power to protect her." I reply. "That doesn't mean you should go and get yourself killed. Me and the others are here to protect you and everything here that includes Y/n." He says as he starts to clean around the wound. "I know but what kind of husband can't protect his wife especially in this line of work." I grit through my teeth from the pain. "I know how you feel Yoongi, but you still have to remember your also the boss. If something was to happen to you what do you think will happen to us and Y/n. You have to think about that." He says. "I know Jin I know. I just feel like a failure. I wasn't able to protect her when I should have. Maybe if I was stronger she would have been taken in the first place. When I seen her laying there my heart broken into a million pieces. When she looked at me her eyes were dull I could tell she had given up. There's no telling what Lay and his men did to her while she was there."
