A storm is rising

Time had gone by more quickly than anyone could have expected. What had felt like only a week passing had realistically been three months. It was time for the inevitable. Tomorrow the Italian mafia alongside the Ambition gang will be ambushing the German mafia. Everyone in the household has been training like crazy both in the gym and outside on the field. The members we're stronger than they had ever been. They had one day. One day left to rest in the life that they had all known and loved. Tomorrow a war would begin. And although many people were confident, no one could really predict the outcome of the situation.

Everyone was currently sitting around the meeting room table in silence. No one seemed to have any words to say, nor was there anything to say that could ease anyone's thoughts. The team had had a strong plan for four weeks now, and not only that, but they had performed strategy training and practiced as much as they possibly could. They were all prepared to the best of their ability, now it was just time to wait.

"I think we, the Ambition gang, will leave our house shortly and collect all of our stuff including any extra weapons that are needed." The Quiett spoke firmly but not harshly. Even he, a man of much confidence, was having doubts. With a stern nod, Namjoon stood up from the table.

"In the meantime, we all shall not train, but reflect in these last moments of peace. Of course no one can predict the future or the outcome of this battle however, we are a team of extremely skilled members. As long as we work hard, give it our all, and stay focused, we have the ability to come out of this with little to no casualties." Namjoon's words were cutting, but every word he spoke was right. The key to this was to keep everyone's head straight, the last thing that everyone needed was to have doubts and to think negatively. Without another word, the Ambition gang left the house and the other members of the Italian mafia parted from the meeting room. As Chloe was getting up to leave Namjoon grabbed her arm in an attempt to convince her to stay.

"Can we talk for a moment?" His voice was almost saddened, which was not usual for Namjoon. Or at least not a usual emotion he let people see in him. Chloe nodded her head in complete compliance. She and Namjoon had grown close within the past couple months or so, and she was well aware that Namjoon loved her.

"I'm scared, I'm not going to lie. I know we have the ability to beat them but the mere thought of you getting hurt terrifies me." It was clear that these thoughts were weighing on his mind so Chloe tried her best to ease them in her own way.She hugged him, and told him comforting words, assuring him that everything would work out. Namjoon nodded his head as he hugged her back, trying his best to believe her words. Shortly he drew back and looked into her eyes.

"When this is all done. When the fight tomorrow is over, I want you to move in with me." Chloe was shocked but she was happy. Definitely not what she was expecting him to say but the thought brought a smile to her face. "You can live here in the mafia house, I mean you already spend all of your time here so it won't be much of a difference. We can share my room and you can make it your own however you please." Chloe looked at him with delight and hugged him tightly. "There's only one condition to this deal. Promise me that you'll be safe tomorrow." Chloe looked down for a split second before looking back into Namjoon's eyes. Neither of them knew what was going to happen, but right now Namjoon needed reassurance.

"I pinky-promise." Set Chloe holding up her pinky. Namjoon smiled at her childish wish for a pinky-promise. However childish it was, he complied, wrapping his larger pinky around her smaller one.

"Pinky promise," He said before kissing her slowly.

The two quietly giggled as they exited the meeting room and made their way into the living room, where Taehyung and Emily were sitting. The two couples participated in light hearted conversations whilst a movie played in the background. It had been decided amongst the group that today they were just going to relax and work on their mental health. They were all well trained and prepared physically for the battle that was to come. However, today was a day that would be the most mentally exhausting. The group could do nothing but wait, worrying over the future. Tomorrow many of them would be exhausted in other ways, but it was important for them all to be focused with a clear head during the battle tomorrow. It was planned that the group would be leaving early in the morning so they had the full day ahead of them. This was the calm before the storm.
