The night we met
It was early morning when Emily arrived at the airport in Seoul. She had taken a flight from her home in Canada over to South Korea for school. She always loved Korea and it called to her so she took a big leap and decided to study medicine there. Emily got into a taxi and made her way to our hotel room. Her school wasn't starting for a few more weeks, and in those few weeks she was determined to find her own apartment. However, in the meantime she was to be living in a hotel nearby.
As she travelled through the city to her hotel she was in awe of the scenery. Thankfully, the hotel was in such a beautiful part of the city and it was a beautiful hotel. Emily got her room key and made her way up to her room to unpack her stuff. Her plan was to spend the day unpacking and maybe later on, if she had time and was feeling up to it, she would go explore outside a little bit. She was so excited that she was finally living in Korea, a place that she had heard so much about and always wanted to visit.

Hours later Emily lay on her hotel bed and let out a loud sigh. It had taken her a lot longer than expected to get all of her stuff out and organized but once she'd finally unpacked she felt relieved. Although she was tired, her excitement outweighed that by a landslide. She got up from the bed and put on a jacket and got ready to exit the hotel room. Emily honestly didn't know much Korean at all except for a little of the basics, but she knew she could do this. Leaving her hotel room, she wandered the quiet hallway as she made her way to the elevators. She waited minutes for the elevator to come up.When she heard the ding of the elevator doors opening she rushed inside. Suddenly she bumped into something and would have fallen to the ground had a hand on her waist not stopped her. Looking up she locked eyes with the most beautiful boy she'd ever seen. His brown eyes and dark hair were captivating. The two spent moments staring into each other's eyes before either of them spoke up.
"I apologize for that, I should have looked where I was going." Emily was frozen in place of his angelic voice. With a small nod his hand left her waist and he walked away down the hall. Emily continued her journey, making her way outside of the hotel. She tried her best to just avoid thinking about the embarrassing encounter she had just had with the most beautiful man she'd ever seen. She laughed at herself just thinking about it.

One day when Emily was coming back to her hotel after a long day of apartment hunting, she'd come back to a note under her door .
'I've noticed you around this hotel a lot recently and I want to get to know you. Meet me tomorrow night in the lobby.
~ Elevator boy
Emily was confused at first but she couldn't hold her in her laughter once she realized. It had to be the boy that she bumped into in the elevator. She had suppressed the memory so much that she had almost forgotten about it herself, but now it was a fun memory to laugh at. This beautiful man wanted to meet her tomorrow. Tomorrow?! That was such a short time away, Emily didn't feel like she had enough time to overthink and be anxious about meeting him. Therefore she had to go in blindly, and try her best to be herself.

Emily was evidently nervous as the elevator slowly descended to the lobby. As the elevator doors opened she looked straight ahead stepping out a few feet and looking around the large lobby. Thinking that she had been stood up, she bowed her head. This was a mistake. A hand reached out to her shoulder and she jumped in surprise.
" Oh sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." The man's voice was recognizable, and once she turned around she locked eyes with those same beautiful brown eyes that she had seen before.
"My name is Taehyung, it's lovely to finally meet you." This man was so beautiful and he seemed like such a gentleman.
"Emily, my name is Emily." Emily tried her best to make her voice not sound nervous, and all she could hope for was that Taehyung couldn't tell how anxious she was being in his presence.
"Would you like to go out to dinner with me? My treat. A beautiful woman like you should never eat alone." He was kind and Emily could tell that he was genuinely nice. He spoke kindly, but quickly, so Emily could tell that he was anxious too. Just the thought of him being as nervous as her, eased her nerves by a landslide. Somehow Emily really felt as though she should be seeing a lot more of Taehyung in the future.
Taehyung drove Emily to a beautiful restaurant, one that was way too fancy for the way that they were both dressed. However, Taehyung felt the need to give Emily everything and anything that she had ever wanted. Even looking into her eyes for the first time he knew all he wanted to do was make her happy. The entire night was filled with the two of them laughing and smiling, and there was never a dull moment between the two. Emily had never been good at meeting people herself, but for some reason conversation just came so naturally between the two. Once they headed back to the hotel they had come to the realization that they both had been staying on the same floor. Taehyung kindly walked Emily to her hotel door before saying his goodbyes.
"I hope to be seeing more of you in the future. I'll be in room 21B if you need me." And with those words and another small nod of the head he once again disappeared down the hall. Emily opened her room door, closing it softly then leaning against the back of it.
"I think I just met the love of my life," she whispered to herself.
