Low odds
Jeongguk was quick to bring a car close to the house. Taehyung, still in tears, carried Emily to the car that Jeongguk was driving. While the others were fighting, Jeongguk and Taehyung planned to bring Emily to the nearest hospital. Before leaving, Jeongguk had found Namjoon and told him that they were leaving. He did not mention anything to any of the others, not wanting to distract them from the fight on hand. Luckily, they were all too busy with their own enemies to notice the three missing. Jeongguk was thankful that the nearest hospital wasn't far away at all as he sped down the roads that led him there. He drove recklessly, not caring about whether it was illegal or not. He was scared for Emily's life and for what Taehyung's life had in store afterwards.
The two rushed Emily to the emergency room where she was soon taken away on a stretcher. A nurse turned to them, sympathy filling his eyes.
"I'm sorry sir you cannot come any further than this. She's going to be taken into surgery as soon as possible." Tae was reluctant to leave her side, and stressed about letting Emily go, but he knew it was for the best. It was hard for him, but he had to trust that the doctors were doing the right thing. Jeongguk grabbed his shoulder and pulled him over to the waiting room.
"Fights over." Jeongguk said. His voice seemed emotionless, so Tae couldn't decipher the result of the fight from his tone. He looked over at Jeongguk for an answer. "We've defeated them, all of them were killed. The German Mafia is no longer.'' That moment felt bittersweet. It was hard murdering people, even those as dangerous as the German mafia. However the boys were relieved as they knew that they would be safe now. "The only one who was seriously injured was Emily, from what I know everyone else only has minor injuries," Jeongguk said to Taehyung. Taehyung just shook his head.
"I wish it was me. I wish it was me that got hurt and not Emily. If she dies, Jeongguk, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself." Taehyung looked down at his hands, no more tears escaping his eyes. It felt like he had cried all of his tears out and he no longer had any more to give.
"She's strong, man, believe in her." With those last words from Jeongguk's, the two sat in silence for what felt like hours.
Only four hours later Jeongguk was shaking Taehyung awake. "She's out of surgery, we can go see her now." Jeongguk spoke quietly as it was now night in the hospital, so it was silent. Taehyung jumped out of his seat and followed a nurse to the room that Emily was in.
"She's stable, the surgery went well. Right now she's been put out by the anesthetic, but she should wake up shortly, within the next twenty-four hours." Taehyung was careful while grabbing Emily's hand. He pulled a chair close to her bed, holding her hand tightly as he watched her.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you."

It wasn't long at all before the rest of the Gang came to the hospital. After the fight with the German Mafia was over Namjoon had let the group know that Emily was in the hospital and had been shot. Everyone was anxious about it. Emily was such a great light in all of their lives that it just felt wrong that something negative had happened to her. Jin, Jimin, and Lauren were first to go into her hospital room. Since there were so many of them, they were only allowed five visitors at once in the room. Namjoon sat in a waiting room chair with his head in his hands. Chloe sat beside him and rubbed his back softly.
"I know it's scary, but she'll be okay, she's a fighter. There's nothing you can change about it now so just stay hopeful." Chloe spoke, trying her best to comfort those around her. Of course she too was anxious about it, however, she felt the need to push her feelings aside to console the others. Namjoon shook his head.
"All I ever tried to do was keep the people around me safe. I feel like I failed." Chloe looked at him with sympathy as she leaned over to rest her head on his shoulder. She wasn't the best at comforting others and she didn't exactly know what to say at this moment. "You know that's why I was such an asshole to you in the beginning?" Chloe couldn't help but laugh at his abrupt comment. She looked at him in the eyes, confusion written all over her face. "I knew from the moment that I looked at you that I had feelings for you, so I tried my best not to bring you into any of this mess. I tried my best to avoid you getting hurt." His words were kind and Chloe was shocked to hear this. She never knew that this was how he felt. However, his words made sense. Chloe always wondered why Namjoon had a hard head on his shoulders and now she knew. He cared so much about those around them but he was just being protective. In a way it was kind of sweet and she was really happy that he had told her.
Taehyung nearly jumped out of his seat when he felt a squeeze of his hand. Looking up he saw Emily slowly open her eyes. He squeezed her hand back as tight as he possibly could, not wanting to ever let go. Emily smiled over at him, noticing the tear-stained cheeks and puffy eyes, and she knew he had been through a lot of emotions.
"Hi," she said softly. Taehyung laughed as tears escaped his eyes once again. He was overjoyed to see Emily awake and smiling at him. Something he never thought he would ever see again.
"I'm never letting you out of my sight ever again. Actually I'm never letting you out of the house again." Emily smiled widely at Tae's protective behavior.
"As long as you stay with me I'll be okay."
