The calm before the storm

Taehyun woke up to the sunlight prickling his delicate eyes, groaning as he stretched and rolled to his side. He breathed in the scent of the pillowcase; it smelled like Beomgyu mixed with sweat and tears. The room still reeked of sex, reminding him of their last night's sinful time together.

He blushed at the recollections. The last thing he remembered from the night was the older struggling to carry him to the bathroom so they could wash because Taehyun was too tired to move on his own. He also vaguely remembered Beomgyu helping his head lean onto his shoulder while cleaning his insides in the bathtub but he had zero memory of what happened after that.

"Ye eomma~ I'll visit the hyungs again when they're back." Beomgyu's distinct voice from out of the room was audible along with the clinking of metals.

Taehyun tried to sit up, wincing at the pain coursing through his butt as he finally did so. He noticed the shorts and hoodie kept for him at the edge of the bed, a smile lifting the corners of his lips. Turning to his side, he noticed the clock reading past 2 in the afternoon and gasped.

"I slept for that long?" Taehyun whispered to himself before getting up from the bed to head to the bathroom so he could get changed. After he was dressed in the clothes Beomgyu chose for him, he walked out of the room.

There was Beomgyu on the kitchen counter, humming to himself, his hair half-dampened, meaning he also woke up not too long ago. The older was wearing joggers and a plain tee but Taehyun's mind was actually occupied with the veiny hands that were working on decorating the food.

Taehyun gulped, remembering how those hands were handling him last night, be it rough or gentle.

"Oh, you're up?" Beomgyu's sweet voice broke the younger's trance, causing him to pad towards the kitchen counter and walk to the older. "Look, I made you lunch today."

Taehyun looked at the plate that was nicely decorated with an omelette on top of rice, heart eyes and a smiley face drawn with ketchup. The visual was quite impressive so he quickly took a chopstick to try it out, his expression falling at the first bite.

The carrots are still raw... Rice is overcooked... He forgot to add salt...

"How is it?" Beomgyu excitedly asked, his eyes sparkling so much that Taehyun nodded with a hesitant smile.

"Is it good? Really?? This was my first time ever trying to cook. I thought it'd turn out awful, I'm glad it's edible." Beomgyu admitted being quite embarrassed, rubbing the back of his head.

First try and Taehyun was the one to receive; it was enough to pull his heartstrings. He smiled at the older adorably before realizing something.

"Hyung...you haven't eaten yet right?" It wasn't that he wanted Beomgyu to stay hungry but it'd be helpful for him if he could make the older ignore his handmade food then, given its taste.

"Actually, I have. There were some cheese sandwiches left and I was famished when I woke up so I forgot to spare some for you. Also, I needed an excuse to cook for you."

Taehyun giggled, patting the older's head as if he were some cute puppy being all shy. It was as if he was seeing Beomgyu in a new light; lovelier and even manlier. He was so much in awe that he didn't even notice when Beomgyu had grabbed his hand to pull him closer until their lips met in a hungry kiss.

The older smirked against his mouth before devouring him deeper. Taehyun circled his arms around Beomgyu's neck firmly as he was being lifted up to sit on the counter before they pulled away, Taehyun winced in pain but soon both giggled in unison.

"Hyung...what are we now?" Taehyun suddenly asked, his fingers twirling with the ends of Beomgyu's raven strands.

"Mmmm..." Beomgyu gave it a thought with a pout, "Let's flirt a little more because I have stored a surprise for you to ask you out."
